🇬🇧 Nigel Farage’s lawyers have demanded an apology from the BBC after Newsnight host Matt Chorley repeatedly misquoted his call for “pure, cold rage” over the murder of Henry Nowak as “white, cold rage”.

Farage’s legal team accused the BBC of defamation and has demanded an on-air apology and an investigation into how the error appeared in production notes.

🇿🇦 Three separate attacks on farms and smallholdings across South Africa have left two elderly people dead and two others seriously wounded.

A 69-year-old man was shot dead in front of his wife during a robbery at a farm near Hammanskraal. The attackers fled with his vehicle and stolen goods.

79-year-old Gail Sink was found murdered at her home in Port Edward after failing to arrive for a family lunch. Her purse and several belongings were missing.

In Immerpan, Limpopo, two farm workers were shot and seriously wounded by three masked attackers during a robbery. Both men remain in hospital.

No arrests have been announced in any of the cases.
