“I don't come from some glittering fucking spire, but I got fereldan grit, and a good bow.”
•
“I chose to fight, if I should lose my life doing this... I just want to have meant something, to all of you.”
•
“I miss my druffalo.”
He's staring in his little mirror, fumbling about with his brown hair. He's got quite the big event to get ready for and he couldn't forgive himself if he embarrassed the inquisition.
@CastasLavellan He sort of knew how to wield a blade himself, albeit he was definitely a rogue, despite the brute strength he was capable of demonstrating from working on the family farm for so long. Aurentius just found more comfort holding a bow than he did a shield and sword.
"I see++
@CastasLavellan He'd snort at the thought.
"Those prissy bureaucrats, I say challenge them to a duel for me."
He'd grin mischievously.
"I wanna see how much of their reaction I can make out under their masks."
Green was one of his comfort colors, that he just so happened to look good in.
@CastasLavellan At the mention of green he perked up, with a nod of approval and a thumbs up. He wasn't much of a fashion person, at all, or fancy person, but he knew one thing. And that's that he'd look lovely in green.
"Green, I think It would make us both look pretty handsome."
@CastasLavellan That brought him comfort, enough to break a small toothy smile. Beaming, he'd nod once again, agreeing to accompany the other to the grand evening. He did have one very, very important question however.
"Well, I'm going, so... What color are we wearing?"
@CastasLavellan He was just a bit nervous, well, very nervous. A bit nauseous from his own nerves Aurentius would take a seat, looking at the other with a furrowed brow.
"I go at your request."
He'd respond, visibly anxious.
"You're aware what the court will say?"
@CastasLavellan He was blushing, but, was it nervousness or flattery? No could be sure, but he was a bit freaked out at the concept of going to Orlais to dance with the inquisitor before all the fancy pants masked nobles of that kingdom.
"Are you sure this is... A smart idea? No offense."
@CastasLavellan This wasn't a normal event to a farmer, not to much a Fereldan farmer. Well, all Aurentius was hoping now was that his Orlesian customs training pays off. And he doesn't make a mockery of himself or the Inquisitor.
"Suits....?"
@CastasLavellan He'd dawn a flush of his own at the question, a beating in his chest that made him have to catch his breath. A ball? With the empress? Wait, that means... A PALACE BALL; he was thinking a million miles a minute at this point.
"Oh, uh, yes, okay. Let's, uh, okay, let's do that."
@CastasLavellan Aurentius held no hard feelings, it wasnt his way. He just wasnt a fan of important secrets, but did not care less for the inquisitor. And the cake helped too.
"You hadn't hurt me, I'm sorry if I made you feel that way. Hm, cake, cake will make it better."
@CastasLavellan This was quite a gift, Aurentius was very excited, but this must have cost a fortune. All the frilly Orlesian details, sickeningly sweet just a bit for the Fereldan.
"You are quite surprising, thank you for this! I only have one fork however..."
"Thedas is just a battle of ideologies, and where I fit... Is at the front lines, pushing the one I see as justifiable. I don't spend time pondering the ugly, only the future."
"What haunts you the most? I think the red templars are the scariest thing I've seen... Something about the eyes, like wailing. But they're not... people anymore, right?"
"There are people out there fighting, who are braver, stronger, and more prepared. But, everyone needs help sometimes, and that I why I work."
.
"So maybe one day something isn't trying to destroy all Thedas! Tall order though..."
"I don't quite understand what goes into a typical day for the inquisitor, I just hope they get time for themself."
.
"A job that stressful deserves some cake time."
@CastasLavellan He's looking at Castas with a bit of suspicion, but Aurentius is no full. Who turns down a free meal with Andraste's herald?
"You should have told me, its rude to keep secrets that important. Inquisitor or no."
