As of this morning 🇭🇺 Hungary has a new government led by Prime Minister Péter Magyar, and our diplomacy has a new leader, Minister of Foreign Affairs Anita Orbán
As of this morning, I am honored to serve as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Hungary.
My mission is clear: to represent the interests of the Hungarian people with determination, dignity, and clarity on every international stage.
I look forward to working closely with our partners while strengthening Hungary’s voice across Europe and beyond.

Why won’t British conservatives engage with Viktor Orbán?
The squeamishness of our mainstream political right tells us everything we need to know about Britain’s failure to conserve itself. A 🧵 1/

It was a great honour to attend His Majesty’s annual reception for diplomats with my wife and colleagues at Windsor Castle @RoyalFamily. A memorable evening in an extraordinary setting, bringing together colleagues from around the world.
Huge congratulations to Hungarian-British author David Szalay on winning Booker Prize last night for Flesh. I know what my next book to read is going to be, and I guess I know yours too.
"I very successfully persuaded myself that I wasn't going to win... There was a sort of sense of shock."

"It's an honor to have a friend of mine here, @PM_ViktorOrban, Prime Minister of Hungary. He’s a very special person… and he’s a great leader.” - President Donald J. Trump 🇺🇸🇭🇺
Today we mark the centenary of #MargaretThatcher's birth. She wasn't just a conservative hero, but a key leader in the Cold War to whom all Central European nations must be grateful. Great article on this by @adamlebor

🕯️ Today, on Yom Kippur, a synagogue in Manchester was the site of a terrorist attack. Hungary has zero tolerance for antisemitism and is proud to be a country where Jewish communities can practice their faith safely. The rise in attacks against Jews across Europe is unacceptable. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families!

It's been my privilege to welcome Sir Mark Thatcher, the son of the late Prime Minister and discuss important and timely aspects of his mother's memory in Hungary.
Many thanks for the good cooperation, friendship, and professionalism. London's diplomatic life will never be the same after your departure, dear Migual. All the best to you in Warsaw!
