I want to voice why I have a problem with Lucia as a playable protagonist in GTA.
Mainly because, I've seen some mutuals suggesting that disliking this means you "hate women" or that it's some sort of sexist belief.
Let's make something very clear: female protagonists in video games... are completely fine. But it is preferrable for it to make sense. For example: Lara Croft is a master of gymnastics, and she leverages her agility/flexibility in her fighting style. Not to mention, she mostly relies on guns.
Bayonetta aka Cereza is a fantasy character. It works perfectly fine, because she acts as more of a fantasy heroine. The same applies to characters like Tifa, Agrias, etc: they exist in a fantasy middle ground, where they can believably work as strong melee fighters. 2B is an android... the list goes on.
Video game developers have historically always made sure that their physical fighters who are women, actually fit logically/in the context of their game's world or story. GTA6 is a different story entirely, because GTA is and always has been heavily grounded in reality.
Obviously a lot of the feats you accomplish in the game would never happen in the real world, but that doesn't matter. We're discussing immersion, not technicalities. You can think of immersion like a rubber-band: our brains are willing to "stretch" what is believable, but if you stretch it too far, the rubber-band breaks.
Luca is a 135lb Latina who can literally beat the shit out of 3+ dudes with her fists. For anyone with a normal brain who understands GTA, this is going to absolutely shatter their faculties. It's taking GTA and stretching it into more of a fantasy, than a grounded crime game/story. Maybe you personally don't have your faculties broken by a small Latina woman being able to fist fight three dudes in GTA who would absolutely fucking destroy her, but I do.
This doesn't mean I hate women. It has nothing to do with my feelings for women, in fact, and everything to do with how I perceive/process fiction and fantasy. I've never viewed GTA as a fantasy, so seeing a character like Lucia being able to rely on brute strength and fighting ability to overpower 3 men at once is jarring and cringe.
And this is intentional, by the way: western video game developers have made it their open and outspoken mission to erase the lines between fictional men and women. They want to push the narrative that "everything men can do, women can do just as well!" It's the product of a modern, ideological agenda whether the GTA6 diehards want to admit it or not.
If this was the Rockstar of old, Lucia would have a completely different fighting style. She wouldn't be boxing with 3 dudes and winning. But because the western games industry is ""progressive"" now, this would be considered sExiST and misoGynisTIC. That's what makes it fucking retarded and annoying: your excuses and "buT u cAn flY ouT of a cAR anD surviVE" talking points are irrelevant.
This woman dresses up as a toddler and teaches your kids about being trans. She also believes the government lynches black people, this woman should not teach children
Why this generation be taking it there. lol. Let they lady dress how she want man. It ainโt even weird. Itโs clothes that fit an adult. Jesus Christ.
Maybe Iโm too old but I donโt know who ms Rachelโs is but she seems way too old and weird to be dressing up as a kid while being 43. This feels like grooming or some weird fetish thing. She just makes me uncomfortable doing the child act at her age
@andoni_casen It just a scene like from I spit on your grave from back in the day. Nothin crazy. Just a performance. New Gen too deep. Itโs just actors. lol
@DeadbyDaylight Are we at the point yet where we can up the gore in the game? Like mortal combat gore type? I mean we are already rated M for mature man. Come on, letโs seal the deal. ๐ซฑ๐ปโ๐ซฒ๐พ
