Hasan Piker is one of the biggest voices on the Left right now. He's teaching millions of young Americans that violence and terror are excusable under the right context, that hatred is justice, that America is uniquely evil and must be torn down, and that communist China is the best model.

This isn't fringe anymore. This is what our kids are hearing every day. And it's dangerous to our Republic. But where is the Democratic Party? Why aren't they condemning en masse his calls for violence and celebration of terrorist groups?

Is it because they view him as a weapon for their narrative of the grand struggle between oppressor and oppressed? Sure, he's a bit extreme. But he gets the message across.

Let this be a warning to all Democrats who refuse to condemn this normalization of moral confusion: the extremists have already started to become mainstream. They won't put up with you anymore once they've taken power. And when the Islamists ultimately take the power from them, even people like Piker, who praised Islamists without becoming one, will be on their chopping block.

Ils transforment le désert en terres cultivables.

Ils interceptent des roquettes en plein vol.
Ils libèrent des otages sous le nez des pires régimes du monde.
Ils survivent à des guerres censées les anéantir, et ils gagnent.

Le monde entier observe, perplexe.
Alors, comme face à une force incompréhensible,
il en déduit qu'il s'agit forcément de tricherie.

Ce doit être l'aide américaine.
Ce doit être du lobbying étranger.
Ce doit être de l'oppression.
Ce doit être du vol.
Ce doit être une sombre manœuvre qui a donné aux Juifs ce pouvoir.
Ce doit être du chantage.

Car, à Dieu ne plaise que ce soit autre chose.

Le peuple juif était censé disparaître

Mais les Juifs n'ont pas disparu.
Ils sont rentrés chez eux, ont reconstruit leur terre,
ont fait revivre leur langue et ont ramené leurs morts à la vie –
dans leur mémoire, dans leur identité et dans leur force.

Ce n'est pas normal.
Ce n'est pas politique.
C'est biblique.

Il n'existe aucune formule magique expliquant comment un groupe de personnes
peut retourner dans son pays d'origine après 2 000 ans.

Il n'existe aucun chemin rationnel menant des chambres à gaz à une influence mondiale.

Et il n'existe aucun précédent historique de survie :
les Babyloniens, les Romains, les Croisades,
l'Inquisition, les pogroms et l'Holocauste,
et pourtant, on se retrouve encore à travailler le lundi à Tel Aviv.
Israël est incompréhensible.
À moins de croire en quelque chose qui dépasse les mathématiques.

Voilà ce qui rend le monde fou.
Car si Israël existe réellement, si cette
nation improbable, ancienne et détestée est encore choisie, protégée
et prospère, alors peut-être que Dieu n'est pas un mythe après tout.

Peut-être qu'Il fait encore partie de l'histoire.
Peut-être que l'histoire n'est pas le fruit du hasard.
Peut-être que le mal n'a pas le dernier mot.
Peut-être que les Juifs ne sont pas seulement un peuple, mais un témoignage.

C'est ce qu'ils ne supportent pas.

Car dès lors qu'on admet que la survie d'Israël
n'est pas seulement impressionnante, mais divine, tout change.
Notre boussole morale se réinitialise.
Nos certitudes sur l'histoire, le pouvoir et la justice s'effondrent.
On réalise alors qu'on n'assiste pas à la fin d'un empire, mais
à la naissance de quelque chose d'éternel.

Alors ils le nient.
Ils le diffament.
Et ils s'y opposent avec véhémence.

Parce qu’il est plus facile de qualifier un miracle de « tricherie » que
d’admettre que Dieu tient ses promesses.

HISTORIC ICE STORM COMING - A destructive and potentially catastrophic ice storm is forecast to impact the south this weekend. Widespread ice will cripple travel, cause major power outages, and down trees. This is a rare high-impact event — potentially the worst in decades since the Great Ice Storm of February 1994. Computer models are calling for widespread ice accumulations of 1-2+” — for context — a half an inch is considered catastrophic. Residents from Dallas, Shreveport, Atlanta, and Charlotte need to prepare like a hurricane is coming. Buy non-perishable food, water, gas, and charge devices. Protect pipes, plants, pets, and people. It also wouldn’t hurt to trim vulnerable tree limbs close to valuable property. I would have warm clothes in case the power goes out. You can forget about any travel north this weekend. An ice storm of this magnitude will cripple the I-20 corridor along with any flights into this area for days. Ice impacts could even be possible as far south as I-10 in Texas and western Louisiana — but the swath of greatest impacts will likely stay north. Either way, this is trending towards becoming a historic storm, and those in the path should heed warnings from local meteorologists and emergency officials. Stay tuned.
