Por lo general el hombre tiene que comprar los anillos.

Tiene que pagar la boda y todos los caprichos de la mujer que vienen incluidos en la fiesta.

Tiene que darle el 50% de su patrimonio en caso de divorcio.

En caso de divorcio también el hombre pierde la tenencia de sus hijos.

Con la casa obviamente se queda ella "para cuidar mejor a los hijos"

Si tenes mala suerte, la mujer con el divorcio sufre una depresión y te mata a tus hijos para terminar quedando en libertad.

El hombre tiene que soportar a la mujer en todos los preparativos del casamiento insoportable por que algunas cosas no le salen bien, llorando, enojada y queriendo cancelarlo.

Y ni hablar del ritual de humillacion que tiene que hacer el hombre para pedirle matrimonio de una forma epica (por que por lo general si lo pedis de forma normal se ofenden), para que igualmente exista un 50% de que te rechace por que la carta de tarot le dijo que no es momento.

Pero bueno, que difícil es ser mujer, el máximo problema que tenes casándote es no saber que vestido ponerte, que los platos no son de los colores que pediste y que tu amiga se puso un vestido que llama mucho la atencion, debe ser terrible para cualquier mujer el matrimonio.

¿La compasión debería depender del diagnóstico… o del género de quien mata a sus hijos?

El 30 de mayo de 2025, Travis Decker recogió a sus tres hijas, Paityn, Evelyn y Olivia, de 9, 8 y 5 años, para una visita programada en Washington. Nunca las regresó. Tres días después, el 2 de junio, las niñas fueron encontradas muertas cerca de un campamento.

Decker era veterano del ejército y arrastraba graves problemas de salud mental relacionados con su servicio militar. Sin embargo, alrededor de su figura predominó el repudio. Sus problemas psiquiátricos podían formar parte de la explicación, pero difícilmente aparecían como una razón para pedir comprensión hacia él.

Dos años antes ocurrió otra tragedia.

El 24 de enero de 2023, Lindsay Clancy estranguló a sus tres hijos, Cora, Dawson y Callan, de 5 años, 3 años y 8 meses, en su casa de Duxbury, Massachusetts.

Clancy también atravesaba graves problemas de salud mental. Su defensa sostiene que padecía psicosis posparto.

Pero alrededor de ella ocurrió algo muy diferente.

Su historia se convirtió en un caso mediático sobre salud mental materna. Aparecieron grupos de apoyo, mujeres acudieron a respaldarla públicamente, se organizaron manifestaciones y buena parte de la conversación sobre el crimen comenzó a girar alrededor de su enfermedad y de las fallas del sistema que debía atenderla.

Y alrededor de su caso se recaudó MÁS DE 1 MILLÓN DE DÓLARES.

Tres niñas muertas a manos de su padre.

Tres niños muertos a manos de su madre.

Dos personas con graves antecedentes de salud mental.

Él recibió repudio.

Ella recibió apoyo público, una enorme exposición de su diagnóstico, personas defendiendo que su enfermedad debía ser considerada para entender lo ocurrido y una recaudación superior al millón de dólares.

Entonces la pregunta resulta inevitable:

¿Por qué ante dos tragedias familiares tan brutales somos capaces de hablar de enfermedad, contexto, empatía y fallas del sistema con una persona, mientras con la otra prácticamente toda compasión desaparece?

Si la salud mental importa para comprender cómo Lindsay Clancy llegó a matar a sus tres hijos, también debería importar para comprender cómo Travis Decker llegó a matar a sus tres hijas.

Comprender no es absolver.

Explicar no es justificar.

Pero si vamos a tener compasión por la enfermedad mental, el género de quien la padece no debería decidir quién merece recibirla.

Blizzard was a game developer that was so popular that they used to have their own annual ComicCon style convention where fans from all over the world would come to meet the developers of their favorite games and learn what new stuff was coming.

Then, an unhappy faction who didn’t like the “frat house” atmosphere made a bunch of largely false allegations at the height of #MeToo. Lawyers were brought in to investigate, and they found email chains discussing the “Cosby Suite,” which was the hospitality suite at the convention hotel that Blizzard developers named for its carpets that looked like a Bill Cosby sweater.

These emails were from years before Cosby’s sexual assault conviction, but they were considered damning at the time and it was insinuated in the media that the men on the email chain were committing rape in the “Cosby Suite,” entirely because of the name.

Everyone on the email chain — men who had worked at Blizzard for decades and built the Warcraft, Diablo and StarCraft franchises — were fired in disgrace over this.

Alex Afrasiabi had his name stripped out of World of Warcraft. An Overwatch character named after veteran Blizzard developer Jesse McCree was renamed in the game. These guys did absolutely nothing wrong except joke with their friends in emails they never expected to be exposed as part of a witch hunt.

In the wake of the mass firings of veterans game designers, the entire culture of Blizzard changed as an institution, and the games changed too — for the worse. “World of Warcraft” became a cozy fantasy coffee shop game. “Overwatch” became a gay pride game. Nobody would go to a convention these days to celebrate these games or the people who now work on them.

The false sexual assault allegations were a pretense for a crowd of disgruntled nonbinary weirdos to seize the greatest game studio in the United States, but without the people they purged and replaced, they could not uphold Blizzard’s once legendary standard of quality and the studio collapsed into irrelevance.

When you see gamers celebrating mass layoffs at game studios, it is because things like this happened across the gaming industry. The hobby was conquered and transformed by people who believed gaming needed to change. But they changed it into something nobody wants to pay for, and now they’re all losing their jobs.
