I'm long $LITE.
After July's carnage, $LITE is sitting -32% off its ATH. If you were only interested before, you might want to pay attention to this company NOW.
Lumentum was the first photonics stock I bought back at the beginning of the year, and with time it's only gotten more attractive.
In this massive drawdown, I started to question whether I should really be holding as many names as I do, which to cut, which are forever longs. $LITE is one of the names I want to still own five years from now.
What makes it so special:
Most companies on this floor solve interconnect at one distance and defend it. Lumentum shows up at all three, chip to chip, rack to rack, and building to building, with the same object every time: a semiconductor laser grown on indium phosphide.
It owns the fabs that grow them, which gives them a leg up in this industry, and it's why I file this as a light source company and not a module maker.
It's also the reason a future headed into co-packaged optics doesn't scare me here; rather, it's an opportunity. As optics move closer to the chip, the module shrinks, and the light source grows. Lumentum meets it as a mix shift toward its best margin.
Anyone with capital can rack GPUs; the number of companies that can make an indium phosphide laser at volume is very close to two.
Their financials look stellar:
Q3 FY2026 (ended 28 March 2026)
Revenue: $808.4M, +90% YoY
Non-GAAP gross margin: 47.9%, +1,270 bps YoY
Adjusted EBITDA: $293.5M, 4.1x a year ago
GAAP net income: $144.2M
Cash and investments: $3.17B
Q4 guide: $960M to $1,010M, operating margin 35-36%
Two fiscal years ago this company lost $546M, now it's a completely different story.
Let there be LITE! ⚡

Good Luck and let's find our Next Reality TV Star
@Barton_options Robinhood extended trading hours start at 9AM..so the market makers that open AMC, GME, EXPR with 100% gaps at 5am are really the ones igniting the squeeze IMO
@TicTocTick The move is similar to the feb 2020 opex before the big drop .. TSLA blowoff then signs of a rotation into value / cyclical .. the clue will be the day when both tech and cyclical flush off the open but we all know machines automatically BTFD so wait for the euro close to short
@allstarcharts true.. but the you can find an edible pizza in some cities if you look hard enough .. but you will never find a good bagel outside of NYC
