Lunch times are interesting and engaging for Ferny Hills students. Today we had a performance in the Mall by our junior strings students and volleyball on the oval. Term 3 clubs will start next week. 😀👍🙌

A big congratulations to Banks House for winning the inter-house track & field carnival. Matilda & Max were very proud to receive the perpetual shield on assembly. Well done to our age champions for outstanding athletic effort and ability.

A huge shout-out to #Rebelsport Everton Park for their Givebacks Money Program. We redeemed over $1600 in sporting equipment. Students will love the 150 handballs that were collected! Thanks also to Ferny Hills parents, caregivers & community for supporting our great school.

Under 8’s Day was celebrated today at Ferny Hills. Prep, Yr 1, Yr 2 & Kindy students had a blast! There was loads of fun, exciting and hands-on learning activities for our junior school students. Thank you to the many volunteers! A special thank you to Mrs Drake & Mrs Wiseman! 🙌

Last Friday’s 400 Cans for K9s & Cats was a huge success. Students, staff & families collected 613 cans of pet food that will be donated to RSPCA animal shelter at Wacol. What a mammoth effort! Congratulations to our Senior Leaders for coordinating this project.

Our Prep students (and their teachers) treated their mum’s to a special Mother’s Day morning tea. Our mums’ were given massages, ice cream sundaes and heaps of pampering. Happy Mother’s Day to our amazing mums! 🥰

Students, staff & parents participated in the Gaythorne RSL March today. We had 38 students march. What a great effort! Thank you to our school parents who supported students to wake at 5.30am to be there for the 6am start. The ANZAC spirit was evident.

Our newly upgraded Prep Playground opened today. Our preppies had the best play break ever using this new equipment. Thank you Ferny Hills P & C for funding this project. Our Prep students love it!

We had a mammoth effort at our Working Bee today! The P & C shed, under our hall and two storage rooms were cleaned out and re-organised. Thank you to the dedicated group of parents, P & C members & staff. A top effort!

It was a huge day at Ferny Hills today! We had Chappy Pancake Breakfast, a Fire Truck visit and Cross Country! Phew! Well done fantastic Ferny Hills students, staff & parents. It was another cracking day at our school! 😀👍🙌

Our Year 1 students were treated to a visit from Fire Officers Brad & Nick. Students learnt about Fire Safety and what they can do to remain safe in an emergency. Next week we have a Fire Truck visit! 🚒

It’s been a big morning at Ferny Hills! Running Club was well attended by our Prep-stars - Year 2 students. A huge thank you to our Sports Captains for helping out! We are preparing our running legs for Friday’s Cross Country.
