By interjecting this agreement now, literally in the midst of trying to negotiate an end to the American war with Iran, in the midst of a 60 day ceasefire with Iran -- which, if successful, would end the fighting in Lebanon — we take action with these signatures in Washington today
that makes it nearly impossible to maintain the cease-fire and reach a final settlement, and therefore makes war more likely.

I find it, especially egregious and revolting that these so-called diplomats have the audacity to say this equals “peace“ when it is clearly trying to spawn more war.

It is physically impossible for today’s signed agreement to result in peace when you don’t even have the concurrence or the participation of Iran and Hezbollah, against whom Israel is fighting.

We are really not as stupid as these “diplomats” seem to think we are.

This is fabrication of the worst sort. This is the President of the United States, creating enemies out of thin air - “communists” - it’s as though he’s a bad reincarnation of Joseph McCarthy.

Even when there actually was a “red scare” during the Cold War, it was always vastly overblown. But now?

100% fiction.

But this is how President Trump rolls. He manufacturers fake enemies, so he can vanquish them, and portray himself as a hero.

But all he’s doing here is demonizing a category of Americans and fraudulently categorizing them as communist. In most cases, they’re simply people who believe that you should help your fellow man, much like most of our best European allies.

But these Americans are not something to fear, they just propose a different way to govern. That’s supposed to be the essence of democracy, that different ideas get a fair hearing, and then the voting population gets to decide what they want.

President Trump on the other hand, doesn’t want anything fair or free, he wants only to demonize opponents and divide the country, so that he personally can benefit.

This is antithetical to democracy, and a danger to our nation if he continues on.
