AUG 6 - Pope Leo XIV said the faithful should oppose “fundamentalism” during a visit to Assisi on for Go! The 2026 Franciscan Youth Meeting. Italy is celebrating the 800th anniversary of death of Saint Francis of Assisi.
"Increasingly, Christians will be called to become artisans of peace within societies that are tempted to place religion at the service of competing identities," the American pontiff said in response to question from a young woman.
"Rejecting the culture of power and building a civilization of love are choices that are not immediately understood or accepted. Saint Francis, however, teaches that radicalism of the Gospel is the very opposite of fundamentalism."
“It does not make us blind or violent; instead, it makes us aware, attentive and always eager to follow Jesus, and therefore humble and welcoming towards everyone. It is not an easy path, but it brings much joy".
Viewpoint: Saint Francis did NOT teach the “Radicalism of the Gospel.” The Gospel is “fundamental" doctrine of the Church. We cannot be welcoming to those who do not accept the Gospel. Jesus said, shake dust from your sandals, and move on.
The Pope encouraged the young people to follow the example of St Francis and go "to the margins" of society, "where the injustice and arrogance of a few deny the dignity and dreams of many. We are called to read the Scriptures with the Master to interpret our times, and to make decisions as we walk in His footsteps," he said.

Viewpoint: St. Francis tried to convince the leader of Islam about Jesus Christ and His Gospel. He found that Islamic beliefs are fundamentally incompatible with Christianity.

Pope Leo: "We are here to overcome resignation and fear, to untangle the doubts that hold us back just as they held back the apostles. “
"Jesus calls us into a dialogue with His story so that we may write new pages of history".

Robert T. Fertig Viewpoint: Jesus did NOT call us to have a “dialogue and write new pages of history.” He calls us to follow His Gospels, passed on to the Apostles. That's Church Doctrine.

Seventh Session of the Council of Trent
ON THE SACRAMENTS IN GENERAL

CANON I.-If any one saith, that the sacraments of the New Law were not all instituted by Jesus Christ, our Lord; or, that they are more, or less, than seven, to wit, Baptism, Confirmation, the Eucharist, Penance, Extreme Unction, Order, and Matrimony; or even that any one of these seven is not truly and properly a sacrament; let him be anathema.
CANON IV.-If any one saith, that the sacraments of the New Law are not necessary unto salvation, but superfluous; and that, without them, or without the desire thereof, men obtain of God, through faith alone, the grace of justification;-though all (the sacraments) are not indeed necessary for every individual; let him be anathema.
CANON VI.-If any one saith, that the sacraments of the New Law do not contain the grace which they signify; or, that they do not confer that grace on those who do not place an obstacle thereunto; as though they were merely outward signs of grace or justice received through faith, and certain marks of the Christian profession, whereby believers are distinguished amongst men from unbelievers; let him be anathema.
CANON IX.-If any one saith, that, in the three sacraments, Baptism, to wit, Confirmation, and [Holy] Orders, there is not imprinted in the soul a character, that is, a certain spiritual and indelible Sign, on account of which they cannot be repeated; let him be anathema.
CANON XIII.-If any one saith, that the received and approved rites of the Catholic Church, wont to be used in the solemn administration of the sacraments, may be contemned, or without sin be omitted at pleasure by the ministers [Pope, Bishop, Pastors, Priest] or be changed, by every pastor of the churches, into other new ones; let him be anathema.
Fertig Viewpoint: According to the Seventh Session of the Council of Trent Canon XIII (if correctly understood in Latin), The New Mass as introduced by Pope Paul VI in 1967 effectively embodies a “New Religion” and is not Catholic. Although the consecration of bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, if done validly, may remain effective. Many (including this 88-year-old Catholic) in the pews did not understand the difference, and were innocent, until they were informed by experts. As the saying goes, “Ignorance is bliss.”

“Invasion” of Islamic Migrants into Europe

A 2025 clip of Bishop Athanasius Schneider calling out the “invasion” of Islamic migrants into Europe for destroying its Christian heritage has resurfaced across social media after tens of thousands of migrants swarmed into Spain.
The bishop stressed that many of these people are not refugees and that the “mass Islamization” of Europe is part of a plot by the “powerful” to destroy Christianity.
“Now we are witnessing an invasion. They are not refugees���no—this is an invasion of the mass Islamization of Europe,” the bishop said. “And so, this is a global political agenda by the powerful of the world: to destroy Europe culturally and religiously—to destroy Christianity ultimately in Europe.”
The Spanish government eventually sent troops on to “reinforce the Civil Guard. While Catholic social teaching affirms that immigrants should be treated with dignity and respect, it also notes that a country has a right to secure its borders. In the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB’s) “Catholic Social Teaching on Immigration and the Movement of Peoples,” the conference outlines that countries are under no obligation to accept all who wish to enter.
Several other Catholic clerics have echoed Bishop Schneider’s comments about immigration. In 2017, Cardinal Robert Sarah, in remarks at Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Poland, denounced the “outside forces” who try to impose themselves on Poland and other European nations without assimilating.”
“In what manner is it possible to remove the rights of the nation to distinguish between a political or religious refugee, who must flee from his homeland, and the economic migrant, who wants to change his address without adapting himself, identifying with, and accepting the culture of the country in which he will live?” Cardinal Sarah asked.
The Cardinal underscored the importance of rebuilding nations that have suffered from war and other injustices without uprooting the people of other countries and called out those who “exploit the word of God” to justify the promotion of multiculturalism.
Viewpoint: This writer and commentator previously wrote about the seriousness of population declines below the 2.1 required replacement rate. If present rates continue, not only will the world’s population of eight billion people decline by double digits within a generation, but Muslim populations will overwhelm Christians significantly.

Viewpoint: China and Russia will be in greater trouble, with a majority of elderly supported by significantly fewer younger workers. The U.S. demographics will likely improve due to greater inflow of legal migrants from India, Mexico (other Hispanics), Asians, and Europeans, with higher education and skills needed for America’s economic growth. There is already a significant “brain drain” from the EU, India and Asia to the United States due to opportunity and economics.

Ingratitude-Negativity Led to 700-Years in Purgatory
One person's ingratitude and negative attitude with the family and others caused enormous grief for their spouse, family and others during their life on earth. While this decease soul was not guilty of mortal (grave) sins; otherwise, they would be in hell. This venial sin was so serious that it caused this soul to spend 700-years in Purgatory to cleanse this sin before they could enter Paradise and see the Blessed Lord.
This rejection of the Lord’s graces caused the suffering of many others. The Blessed Lord gave Saint Bridget of Sweden this great example of what venial sins can do to souls who are negative and complain about everything, and do not have gratitude for God’s Graces.
We think this is a powerful lesson for all Catholic Christians to consider. One cannot see God without being purified of all sins. That is why we must always pray and offer Masses (TLM) for loved ones in Purgatory.

Papal authority is primarily limited to teaching the Faith, Morals and Jurisdiction of the Church, worldwide. All Popes are subject to Doctrines and Traditions handed down by Christ to the Apostles. TRUTH is not changeable!

Christ said, “I AM the Truth and the Life.” Thus, Truth cannot be changed to suit the Modernist Secular Age.

Popes Must Safeguard Revealed Truth, in the Bible which is Dogma, Doctrines and Traditions. The main mission of Catholic Church is teaching Gospels and Saving Souls.

Therefore, if the Pope and/or Vatican demands that Seminarians must accept Vatican-II without question and Novus Ordo, not the TLM, those priests may not be validly Ordained Catholic Priests. Laypersons must realize that these "Ordained Priests" may not offer Sacraments of Mass, Reconciliation, Marriage, or Blessing of the Sick.
