How I overcame infertility & miscarriage: 🦠Hidden Infections 🧫 Immune Issues 🔬Testing 💊Treatment 🧬Research 🤱 Brandi Bentley - A Mom, not a Dr., not advice
Its the whole food supply that’s toxic. However I think the millennial generation was the first where widespread unsaturated fats were consumed from birth. We’re also the most heavily vaxxed & I would bet that millennial women are on pace to take more estrogen & anti-depressants
@BennettJonah Read Fertile vs. Infertile by A.Toth, MD. It’s mind blowing. He makes a strong case for infections being a major root cause of declining fertility. They’re often passed vertically, so these issues can run in family lines and appear to be genetic. https://t.co/4OYGUYol32
Long-term Risk of Neuropsychiatric Disease After Exposure to Infection In Utero.
In a 40-year study with 1,800,000 Swedish kids, depression rates increased by 25% if mom had an infection while pregnant.
Autism rates increased by 80%!

Congenital #Lyme is massively unrecognized and likely drives a solid % of neuropsych issues, joint pain, & developmental delays in kids. Lyme is a close cousin to #Syphilis & can produce similar outcomes. Find 30+ yrs of medical literature at https://t.co/dpme9oFVhf.
Infections (notably Lyme and co) are the cause of much infertility, too.
Lack of screening for these treatable issues creates so much unnecessary suffering. 🥲
Fighting for Neil is fighting for millions who have been given #autoimmune & psychiatric diagnoses & told there is no known cause/ cure so they’re put on lifelong immune-suppressants & psych drugs. Newsflash: infections ARE the common cause. But no $ in cures! 💡
He called it “unconscionable” not to rule out #Lyme & other infections before defaulting pts to #autoimmune, #Fibromyalgia, #Alzheimers since common infections like Lyme commonly cause these conditions. Dirty little secret known at high levels of medicine.
Renowned @dukemedicine oncologist, who lost his ❤️ & then his life to chronic #Lyme, called Lyme “the infectious disease equivalent of #Cancer.” He wrote gorgeous foreword to our book. His last words to me, “never stop fighting for the truth of this.” https://t.co/O88wgm3HeO
I'm super impressed by the # of MDs/ PhDs who have said they reviewed this literature & were blown away as they'd been gaslighted by med school/ other docs into believing chronic #Lyme doesn't exist, incl ID doc prestigious CA hospital.
Gives me hope...
Here's a chronic #Lyme ref list for anyone interested in LEARNING instead of bloviating about that which they are completely ignorant (and therefore, harming patients).
The insane dogma I see from #medtwitter is exactly what nearly killed me. @60Minutes

"Disulfiram still appears to be the most powerful drug we have to treat chronic infection with Borrelia burgdorferi, but it can also cause significant Herxheimer reactions and neurotoxicity. The bottom line is that disulfiram is not for everybody..."

Sadly, most doctors don't look for these hidden infections, & many mainstream tests can't detect them.
Moreover, standard therapies like IVF & IUI do nothing to overcome these issues.
The high failure rate of IUI/IVF is less mysterious when hidden infections are accounted for.
Is Lyme Disease an STD? Sounds like @DrJohnJain knows what's up. He is the only RE I've ever seen talk about this important topic. Round of applause! Lyme disease testing should be offered to people dealing with infertility -- early on. https://t.co/faj21VzGOt #lyme#infertility
