Ignorance represents a significant and perilous challenge. Addressing outbreaks effectively requires comprehensive health education and promotion initiatives.
I witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and operational licence agreement between the Uganda Communications Commission and Starlink, marking an important step towards the commencement of their operations in Uganda.
Our interest is security, revenue assurance, and proper accountability within the telecommunications sector so that we know who is operating and who the customers are. I am pleased that Starlink has agreed to comply with Uganda’s laws and regulatory requirements as it prepares to begin service delivery in the country. I wish them good luck.
We can’t preach #sovereignty while deepening debt dependence. Borrowing is fine—until it begins to dictate policy. Then sovereignty is just a slogan. Proverbs 22:7 said it long ago: the borrower is servant to the lender. #SovereigntyBill
Namibia 🇳🇦 has fully repaid its debt to the International Monetary Fund, bringing its outstanding obligations down to zero.
The country made the final repayment of $23,887,500, as confirmed in official IMF data up to March 2026. This marks a major milestone and a strong shift in Namibia’s external debt profile as part of its broader fiscal consolidation drive.
Namibia joins a small group of African nations that have successfully cleared their IMF balances, boosting its financial independence and international credit standing. This is a big win for fiscal discipline and economic sovereignty!
More details are expected from the Bank of Namibia and government statements.
President @KagutaMuseveni has assented to eight pieces of legislation, including the National Drug and Health Products Authority Act, 2026, which expands regulation across medicines, vaccines, medical devices, diagnostics, cosmetics, and other health products, strengthening safety and oversight.
Also assented to were the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act, 2026, introducing mandatory energy standards, audits, and regulation of inefficient technologies, and the Non-Performing Assets Recovery Trust (Repeal) Act, 2024, which dissolves the Trust and transfers its functions to the Ministry of Finance to streamline operations.
The Employment (Amendment) Act, 2025 strengthens protections for domestic, casual, and migrant workers, while the Forensic and Scientific Analytical Services Act, 2026 enhances forensic systems and evidence handling. Other laws assented to include the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights (Amendment) Act, 2026, the Public Enterprises Reform and Divestiture (Amendment) Act, 2024, and the Magistrates Courts (Amendment) Act, 2026.
@KagutaMuseveni The President frames this bill as a measure to stop external funding that drives coercive or manipulative influence on policy. While I support the intent, the challenge lies in clearly distinguishing harmful interference from legitimate, constructive policy engagement.
You’re a blatant liar. That’s exactly why this platform has become so distasteful. You acquired it on the promise of tackling misinformation, yet you’ve become one of its biggest sources. There are over 500 American companies operating in South Africa, many of them led by white executives. This isn’t about facts, it’s about smearing South Africa for your own benefit.
@EggsWhite@BoringBiz_ Certainly, from a CFO's perspective, I would recommend combining your pricing strategy with strong marketing efforts. High prices in a competitive market require substantial branding work.
@Opiaiya @Odrek_Rwabwogo Looks like what to do is known. At least from the submission of @Odrek_Rwabwogo and later comments from @Opiaiya.. Question is : WHAT IS THE LIMITATION TO DO WHAT IS ALREADY KNOWN?
Why don't we do it already??? ,
