@wokedeath @garyboomer58 We did steal wealth. We created it and kept a lot of it. Not because of selfishness, but because our parents came out of the depression era. Today, the largest transfer of inter generational wealth is be passed from Boomers to X. The economy also runs on a 14 year cycle.

@RepDeluzio Stick with one point, shall we? I like the idea of lifting the cap, to a point. No-one can take more than $184k a year max from the system. The income cap is $170k that’s taxed. Technically, what happens above that means nothing, except it’s currently not solvent.

I'm not sure who is behind the boomer bashing, but it is laughable. Sure, blame an entire generation for what you feel is unfair. Unfair to whom? Until you know their story, stop comparing it to yours. Two different times in history, context, economics, values, and morals.

@MaxMcGuireCPA So did the people during the depression era. The economy runs on a 7-year cycle, 14 years from top to top. It sucks if you are commenting on the moment, and not on the long term. Pensions are a thing of the past. Everyone needs to be in a 401K. Home ownership not the only ride.
