FEU Law opened its doors in 1934, making it one of the oldest colleges of law in the country. It prides itself as a pedigreed law school from whose ranks two other law schools located in the university belt were formed.
EDDIE GARCIA LAW
In 2019, veteran actor Eddie Garcia suffered a fracture due to the fall, resulting in his death.
The Filipino actor died due to neck and cervical fracture after he tripped in a cable wire in Tondo, Manila while shooting a now shelved teleserye “Rosang Agimat.”
The Eddie Garcia law promotes equality of employment opportunities for all. The measure also provides an implementation of work hours, wages and other wage-related benefits, social security, health & safety, working conditions and standards, including insurance.
With RTC/MTC judges, FEU law professors, and law students at a Purple Hearts Foundation event yesterday on climate change.
Everyone applauded when I announced that the PH is the only country in the world where Envi Law is mandatory in law school.

The Supreme Court went on to hold that “it cannot be conceded by any stretch of imagination that [legitimated children] stand to suffer economic prejudice if they were to sustain [such status] and enjoy the right accorded to “legitimate” children.
In holding that legitimated children cannot impugn their own legitimated status, the Supreme Court quoted the commentaries of former @FEULaw Dean Melencio S. Sta Maria, Jr. (@attymeltweet).
The Supreme Court held that “persons whose rights may be prejudiced under Article 182 of the Family Code and who are given the right to impugn an erroneous legitimation are those who stand to suffer economic or material injury by reason of the improper legitimation...”
The new travel regulations – which have been temporarily suspended by the Department of Justice – are flawed and could be dangerous from the constitutional and legal point of view, writes former FEU Institute of Law dean Mel Sta. Maria. #Opinion https://t.co/3lmUFWy7Gb
Can a document be notarized even if the affiant (its author who swears to the truth and accuracy of the statements) does not appear before the Notary Public?
Thanks, @NUSingapore@nus_law@NUS_CIL@CIL_TRILA, for this feature. Talked about my experiences in teaching human rights law to military and police officers - as a law prof in & out of the classroom - and leading as inaugural program director of our Human Rights Institute. (1/3)
