WrestleMania will no longer be held in New Orleans in 2026, despite a prior announcement, according to a statement provided Thursday to Wrestlenomics by the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation. The major WWE event, initially confirmed for the city in February, is now being rescheduled for New Orleans in a future, unspecified year.
Instead of WrestleMania, New Orleans will host WWE's Money in the Bank premium live event in 2026. This decision is part of an expanding multi-event, multi-year agreement being negotiated between local New Orleans organizers and TKO Group Holdings, WWE's parent company. This agreement also includes UFC 318, which is set for July 19, 2025, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation stated they are "working closely with our friends at TKO to expand our long-standing partnership," confirming the 2026 Money in the Bank event and that WrestleMania "will move from the currently scheduled 2026 timeframe to a future year." The new host city for WrestleMania in 2026 has not yet been announced, and the reasons for this change in plans remain unclear.
.@undertaker & I got him good on his home turf!
It is an honor of a lifetime to announce that the first member of the #WWEHOF Class of 2025 is none other than my friend @TripleH.
Wie gut Gable den mexican destroyer gesellt hat, fantastisch.
Sehr starkes Match, wie zu erwarten.
Schön auch, dass Penta mit dem Driver gewinnen durfte, dadurch wird KOs package piledriver "geschützt"
