@StephenKentX more to this: Heinrich Schliemann read Homer’s detailed descriptions of Bronze Age armor, shields, and palaces, and was convinced the “myth” was real history when almost no one else did at the time. He proved it by digging up Troy and Mycenae.
@StephenKentX Homer deliberately described obsolete Bronze Age armor & ships that were long out of use in his own time to anchor the Iliad & Odyssey in the heroic Mycenaean past. He cared about evoking that era. Why defend swapping it for a Viking longship when a Mycenaean replica existed?...
@shriverist imagine putting KSA as undersized cultural influence when it shaped (for the worse) Muslim identity across the globe over the last decades.
@Michaeach3 she said it herself, she felt like she was being exorcised, like the demon was almost driven from her. Had she stayed longer, maybe she would have found the light.
@_Sosthene_ you forgot Burgundians, just as important. Said to have originated from Bornholm, they settled south-eastern France and western Switzerland

@johannesmkx In Europe, young women have started moving right as well, just slower than their male peers:
"It is not that young women are moving away from far-right parties, but simply that they are moving towards them at a slower pace."

@rockehatt ..this process is ironically now also being accelerated because a lot of public spaces across Europe are becoming increasingly hostile (due to migration and pop and cultural replacement) to women
@rockehatt women defend the social order, now that the liberal order is being successfully challenged and, in certain spaces, even replaced by right-wing realism, more women will start to move right. Most spaces in the US where women exist in, priv and pol are still liberal/progr dominated
