Loading an hour of animated radar in part of the U.S. took 44 seconds earlier today. 😬 I'm not sure when that regression happened, but I've got it down to 4-8 seconds now in testing. I'll keep working on optimizing it so it loads as quickly as possible!
@DNAtomy No need to delete. I think transparency is good. It looks like the update went through. Let me know if you have any more thoughts. Thanks for using the app!
Those labels are worse than what the app actually does and you can blame that on a noob developer for being far too conservative in the app submission process out of concerns the app would be rejected for something minor. For example, the "Contact Info" row exists only because the feedback form has an optional email box. Most of the rest came from an X ad-measurement SDK. I'm removing that in the update I submit today. When it's live, the only linked data will be the location you chose for weather notifications and the device token needed to deliver them. That list should shrink from 9 to 2.
@BTCmeansfreedom Thank you! I designed it for myself and don't even use all my other weather apps anymore. Unless I want lightning, which is stupid expensive data to get for a commercialized app. lol Hopefully I can afford that in the future.
@BTCmeansfreedom Thanks! I wanted to create a weather dashboard for my dad to see his PWS on his phone. Started in April and realized I liked it far more than the 20 weather apps I have on my phone. Still learning so it's not as polished as the big apps, but getting better hopefully.
@Support X customer service has been so frustrating today. Premium and Ads Support passing me back and forth on a simple issue. Both humans and the bot clearly not reading messages or answering questions.
This weekend, I adjusted the charts on the Live tab to include some forecast info and added a 48H option. This was at the request of a couple of people who thought you should see more than just historical data when you first open it. Fair point!
The Now tab shows you when typical seasons occur at a given location, and the History tab shows when each season has officially begun in the last 10 years.
Today's update brings a new "Seasons" card to the forecast tab. Like most features in this app, this one came from a conversation I had the other day with a friend, where we wondered when the next season would start.
I had a server issue that shut down radar for about an hour this morning. Everything is back up and running normally. Checking in on Hawaii for a quick test. Nice to see they'll mostly avoid the hurricane! #Lowell#HurricaneLowell
Absolutely stunning to see 4 storms like this at once. The spaghetti models will be available in the next update. Just waiting on Apple/Google approval.

Today's project --> A middle school teacher asked me to add spaghetti models to tropical storms. If you have a request, let me know, and I'll do my best to implement it. 🌀
