We are proud to see CENTS in monopol ✊✊
Germany's leading contemporary art magazine
A notable quality: unlike most coverage from the fine art world, this article represents a perspective on how the artwork's use of Bitcoin as a medium makes a statement about currency, value, materiality and the presence of these in the current historical moment.
The article gives wonderful coverage of the exhibition Rutherford Chang: Hundreds and Thousands at UCCA Beijing, China's leading contemporary art institution. In it one can see the powerful and prismatic vision that Chang's works bring to the nature of artmaking, objecthood, and the tender absurdity of being a human being.
We are honored to see CENTS represented in @BitcoinMagazine

articulating the layered relevance of Rutherford Chang's major works on view in the retrospective currently at UCCA Beijing
The recent days around the opening of Rutherford Chang's retrospective at UCCA Beijing have been quite a whirlwind.
That and Chinese internet have made it difficult to share many updates, but we'll be posting more as the exhibition is there for the next 3 months.
It's truly incredible to see Rutherford's art elevated at this scale. The curators Philip Tinari and Aki Sassamoto as well as the Estate led by his sister Danielle Chang have done excellent work.
And with CENTS, we're seeing Bitcoin Art on Ordinals recognized as a vessel of high art. We extend our gratitude that UCCA has been open to working with us so closely to present this emergent medium in a way that can meet the broader world of art and culture.
In the coming days we'll be sharing the panel talk, the archival documentation, as well as the press coming out about the exhibition.
The new Trait Explorer cents。vision has also seen its premier in tandem with this event - featuring a Trait Atlas as well the results of the Council's exhaustive final reviews and re-reviews of the 10,000 Cents.
Check in particular the Trait Atlas, as well as the cataloging of Contaminations and the much-needed Significant patina between Notable and Full.
The traits and rarities are now represented with operational completeness.
The retrospective will be in Beijing for 3 months, and the Estate is planning to tour it at other locations thereafter.
Rutherford Chang's work is an ever-speaking rabbit hole of timelessness, and we look forward to broader audiences discovering the true genius and magic that he brought into the world.
The CENTS Traits Lab is LIVE

If you’ve been wondering what we’ve been building for the last two years: this is it. Built to explore the collection from different angles, compare CENTS, discover patterns, and learn the surface language Cent by Cent.

I think we have matured enough that artists don’t need to churn out work to stay relevant
But instead they can take their time to build and still be present with out having to worry if sales make them seen
This is How we build
