Boucher Hill and High Point lookouts completed their last shifts for the 2021 fire season today. The towers will reopen for the 2022 season on or about 5/1/22.

Thank you to all the volunteer lookouts that staffed the towers this season, helping to keep San Diego County safe.

The Chaparral Fire remains 1,427 acres and is 50% contained. Firefighters will work through the evening to patrol the fireline and mop-up any hot spots.
