If your fiberglass mattress leaked glass particles that contaminated your home, you should definitely file complaints!

While talking to Emma Sleep's live chat yesterday, the chat rep accidentally admitted that the old silica/modacrylic flame barrier was actually glass fiber even though Emma always said it was fiberglass-free! Nice!

Emma Sleep chat just accidentally admitted its mattresses used to contain glass fiber - completely contradicting all the previous fiberglass-free claims.. Another example of mattress brands using "silica" as code for glass fiber. Nice!

Stuff New Zealand posted an article about beds contaminating homes with "fibreglass". The article was removed very shortly - probably due to legal threats. The mattress industry in NZ is similar to the US, not just because of glass particles! #fiberglass #fiberglassmattress

Does Spindle use Fiberglass? No, it uses just wool as a natural flame barrier!

Did you know fiberglass and glass fiber aren't always listed on the tag even if it's used in the mattress?

@starrvedyke Hopefully he's installed a Merv 8 or better HVAC filter so his air vents don't get contaminated.

@WellsLucasSanto Might want to double check that Nectar mattress..

SweetNight says it's now fiberglass-free, but be wary of SweetNight mattresses from 2023 and before, since they could potentially contain fiberglass!

Just curious.. Would you trust fiberglass-free claims from a mattress company that provides this Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification for its flame barriers? #fiberglassfree #fiberglassmattress #fiberglass #fiberglassfreemattress #fiberglasscontamination #oekotex

Lots of conflicting information coming from Amerisleep concerning its potential use of fiberglass.

@madesafehq Since the Complete MADE SAFE Banned/Restricted List isn't available, I have an obvious question: Is fiberglass, glass wool, glass reinforced plastic, or any other silica-base glass fiber found within the list? Thanks in advance.

@MonkeyBrain_4 @USCPSC It's so bubbly! 😂

[FiberglassFree.com @FiberglassFree]

@USCPSC So is it because mouthwash has to be child-resistant, since hydrogen peroxide is never child-resistant?

[FiberglassFree.com @FiberglassFree]

@Tarantrinn Sadly, most people are too busy trying to salvage their homes, possessions, and health, to think about making a video of themselves dealing with a fiberglass mattress contamination and cleanup.

@stueylewis I see why Sleep Number won't answer my fiberglass questions via email, live-chat, or even the phone. They basically say "you'll find out what the mattress is made of after you buy it"

[FiberglassFree.com @FiberglassFree]

@haydukk @NewYorkStateAG How?

[FiberglassFree.com @FiberglassFree]

@glassman_carol @leadfreems @theinstitute_ms I know this reply is 3 years later, but you should make sure your mattress isn't leaking fiberglass. 👍

@FurnitreHQ What exactly is Vibe using in their flame barriers these days rather than fiberglass??
