@TanyaGabriele The quote Sums up the limitations of this tapeworm treatment “ Because mice don't naturally menstruate or develop endometriosis, there is still significant work to do before these findings can be replicated in humans. “

Great to see more coverage of the still little known fact that antidepressants can cause persistent sexual dysfunction after they are stopped. It can go on for years and it is critical that people know about it before deciding to start these drugs.

Women with pelvic mesh complications say they're 'floating in the system' according to new research. Delays, repeated investigations and uncertainty leave them feeling unheard. The study highlights the value of specialist services and clinicians who listen https://t.co/PKY7B8VrP8
More appalling examples of medical gaslighting and #medicalMisogyny experienced by members of Sling The Mesh. These attitudes are not only dismissive and harmful, they are a significant patient safety concern.
😱 Real comments from healthcare professionals to members of our Facebook support group.
#Medicalgaslighting and #medicalmisogyny is a hallmark of the mesh scandal. Women reporting complications are too often dismissed or disbelieved, leaving them without the care they need.

@hannahmary31 I think the over-confidence of people who lack insight and have no idea of what they don't know is truly frightening. Medicine isn't an exact science at the best of times, and requires knowledge, judgment in its application and experience. That's why the training is lengthy.
@alexander_minh Was the so called advanced nurse practitioner even a basic qualified nurse?
I was verbally abused by advanced nurse practitioner at RUH
