Nearly half of Kenya's registered pesticide active ingredients are classified as Highly Hazardous Pesticides.
Most Kenyans don't know that. Most farmers aren't given alternatives. And almost no government in Africa has a systematic monitoring programme to even track the damage.
That's the crisis. Not just the poison, but the silence around it.
A farmer wakes up at 4am. Sprays his crops so his kids can eat.
That same spray? Banned in France. Banned in Germany.
But here? "Welcome, friend, please poison our soil."
Make it make sense.

Did you know that banned Highly Hazardous Pesticides, too dangerous for Europe, are flooding Africa and ending up in our food?

Kenya officially banned 77 Highly Hazardous Pesticides. Banned simazine still shows up 'in almost every site tested.' Paper bans don't protect soil. We demand ENFORCEMENT.

The response to this victory has been incredible. Thank you for standing with us all these years.
But the work isn't over. We are now pushing the govt to:
1️⃣ Fully align policy with this ruling.
2️⃣ Back agroecology over corporate systems.
3️⃣ Invest in local knowledge, not patented GMOs.
By putting #ProfitOverPeple, we breed punitive policies that benefit only the powerful few.
But in solidarity, we have the power to make the right decisions.

Big corporations are leveraging on their financial muscles to influence #PunitivePolicies at the expense of our farmers.
We will not be silent!! We will stand tall and fight for what's rightfully ours.

Indigenous seeds are not only genetically diverse and rich in nutrients, they also tell a story. A story of resilience.
Hands off our seeds.

Indigenous seeds have remained resilient in adverse weather and climate crises. Criminalising these seeds will only exacerbate food insecurity.

Let's kick off #COP30 with a good news story.
Last year, Brazil's emissions fell by 16%, thanks to a slowdown in deforestation under Lula.
Climate action is a matter of political will. We hope world leaders remember that as they gather in Belém.

The limitations of Subsistence Agriculture
Here in africa we are so rich, the land , the weather all is rich but it's statistically proven that Africa is still poor even in the area of agriculture - this is just sad
The move is from subsistence and commercial agriculture
Today we are in Wote for the official launch of the Makueni County Agroecology Policy
This is more than a policy launch it’s a shift to food systems rooted in life, indigenous knowledge & community sovereignty.
Healthy Soils=Thriving Communities. 🌍💚
