The offence of rape in Nigeria seems to be on the increase and the question that comes to mind is "what the cause is?" Does it mean that the punishment stipulated for it in the extant laws is no longer heavy enough to deter would-be rapist?

We joined in solidarity to share in her grief and to extend the love, comfort, and prayers of the entire Oyo Branch. 💕

📌 FIDA NIGERIA, OYO STATE BRANCH – AUGUST GENERAL MEETING HIGHLIGHTS 🌺
The Branch held its August General Meeting on Thursday, 7th August 2025 at the Aare Afe Babalola Bar Centre, Opp. NTC Factory, Iyaganku, Ibadan.
The meeting featured a Knowledge Sharing Session (KSS)

✅ Use positive, empathetic language & patience when inconsistencies arise.
✅ Keep phones away full attention is key.
