Ingotse High School Closed Indefinitely After Studentsโ Night Rampage in Kakamega
Ingotse Boys High School in Kakamega County has been closed indefinitely following a violent student protest that erupted on the night of May 20.
Reports indicate that students went on a rampage, destroying property within the school compound before a section of learners staged a walkout in the middle of the night. Key facilities, including the library, were reportedly damaged in the chaos.
School management announced the immediate closure of the institution on May 21, directing all students to vacate the premises as investigations begin into the incident.
Authorities are yet to confirm what triggered the unrest, but education officials are expected to step in to assess the extent of the damage and restore order at the institution.
