According to the complaint, Jake was an independent contractor working for Jared’s LLC. His suit is not just about non-payment but also that Jake (and others) should be considered employees. @ciaci4175 @DanBFox1287 Bregman’s OPS as-is would be 4th on the team for qualified hitters and directly replacing Durbin which is a .200+ increase. Not to mention all of the help he gives the other hitters off the field. Trading away a young lefty with a sub-2 ERA really doesn’t help the future either.
