How can you raise subscription from 100 to 215 per year!
They’re openly admitting to price discrimination against loyal customers. “This price was set by an algorithm using your personal data. We consider how long you’ve been a subscriber…”
Translation: “You’ve been with us a while, so we know you’re less likely to cancel. Time to squeeze you harder than a new customer.” That’s the exact opposite of rewarding loyalty. It’s punishing it. Companies do dynamic pricing all the time.

The core stupidity
They’re openly admitting to price discrimination against loyal customers. “This price was set by an algorithm using your personal data. We consider how long you’ve been a subscriber…”
Translation: “You’ve been with us a while, so we know you’re less likely to cancel. Time to squeeze you harder than a new customer.” That’s the exact opposite of rewarding loyalty. It’s punishing it. Companies do dynamic pricing all the time, but bragging about using your tenure and data to jack up the rate feels uniquely insulting.

- The joke evolved into a real 2021 event in Lincoln, Nebraska’s Air Park, drawing hundreds of Joshes who fought with foam pool noodles in a lighthearted gathering that also raised thousands for a local children’s hospital and food bank.
- Five-year-old Josh Vinson Jr. (“Little Josh”) was declared the overall winner, transforming the absurd premise into one of the internet’s most wholesome real-world memes.
