.@NYCMayor Mamdani’s appointed advisory commission is recommending an 18.2% raise for himself and other elected officials purportedly because of inflation, yet his self-appointed Rent Guidelines Board — which is supposed to consider inflation in setting rents— froze rents for two years.
A question for the mayor:
How is this fair or appropriate?
2014 clip shows how much Elon Musk appreciates taxpayers.
Host: Taxpayers essentially loaned you, Tesla, almost 500 million dollars. How much of that do you still owe?
Elon Musk: We paid the whole loan back with interest and a prepayment penalty last year.
Host: Did you have to do that? It wasn’t due, was it?
Elon Musk: I know it was not due for another ten years or something.
Host: Why did you pay it off early?
Elon Musk: The taxpayers supported Tesla. We ought to repay them as soon as we can. And since we had the ability to do it and the stock markets were good, we thought, “Well, let’s pay it back with interest and a thank you note, by the way,” which said, you know, “I really, really appreciate it. Thank you.”
.@BernieSanders , it is a time to celebrate. @elonmusk has created enormous value for society by building @SpaceX, driving down the cost of rocket launches and creating a global satellite communication network that has brought high speed, low-cost internet and communication access to hundreds of millions and eventually billions of people along with critical advantages for our military and our nation’s defense.
SpaceX and its technologies will cause an acceleration in the growth of wages and wealth creation globally, including in some of the poorest communities in the U.S. and around the world.
Access to low-cost, high speed communications everywhere will allow children around the world to be educated, families to build businesses, and life-saving medical knowledge and care to be available everywhere.
SpaceX will materially bring down the cost of compute, advancing AI and humanity.
Meanwhile, 4,000 SpaceX employees yesterday became millionaires, including hourly wage employees who you claim you are trying to help.
The Elon Musks of the world drive growth, global GDP, and provide access to goods and services at lower cost that would otherwise not exist.
Elon’s nominal trillionaire status is due to his ownership of SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink, the Boring Company and his other initiatives that have brought new technologies that improve our everyday lives.
Elon is not sitting on a trillion dollar pile of cash, jewelry and gold. He is using his controlling stakes in his companies to advance mankind. Elon’s companies don’t pay dividends. They reinvest all of their capital to accelerate innovation and value creation.
Elon is working 24/7 for all of us. He deserves respect and appreciation, not smears.
Bernie, your socialism would never allow a SpaceX to be built. Socialism has only proven to impoverish mankind and lead to death and destruction.
We need to create the conditions for more SpaceXs to be built, not attack the great entrepreneurs who are helping to advance our country.
I see your point. I think Joe was put in a really bad position by his teammates. Especially how Becky just let him go off
On his stump speech and only half heartedly tried to engage Pete with counter points. She started but there was absolutely no energy or heart in her follow up questions
@JoeSquawk@BeckyQuick
Just watched this morning’s Squawk Box interview with Mayor Pete Buttigieg.
He came on with the same polished, scripted agenda and talking points he rolls out on the campaign trail. smooth delivery and zero substance. As Transportation Secretary he accomplished virtually nothing. Yet he glided through the segment like he was running for office again.
Joe did his best to hold him accountable and force a real conversation instead of letting him recite campaign speeches on autopilot. Joe tried to cut through the spin. THANK YOU JOE!!
What surprised me more was Becky right at the top of the interview. Instead of a tough opening question, she basically handed him a softball setup. no real question, just a cue that Pete wanted to talk about inflation. She wound him up and let him go for it.
It didn’t feel like journalism. It felt like facilitating a politician, giving him the perfect platform to deliver his prepackaged lines without any pushback at the start.
Why the easy setup, Becky? Viewers tune in for hard questions and accountability, not to watch a polished performance get a free runway.
@SquawkCNBC
What did you all think of the interview?
SpaceX Falcon 9 family has now launched 636 times and counting
618 Falcon 9 flights - 99.52% success rate
Booster B1067: 33 flights on a SINGLE rocket
In 2020, SpaceX launched 26 times - the entire year
In 2026, SpaceX has already done 38 launches in 88 days
That's 46% MORE than all of 2020 and we're not even in April
Meanwhile, the rest of the world combined: ~29 launches in 2026
One company. More launches than every other country and company on Earth. Combined
For shits and giggles, I decided to see just how hard it would be to replace my birth certificate, Social Security card, AND my marriage license, since Democrats think women are too stupid to figure it out.
Here's how it went:
1. Birth certificate: Contacted the health department of the county where I was born. They OVERNIGHTED a certified copy to me the next day - total cost, $14.
2. SS Card: Contacted Social Security on their site. They asked if I was sure I needed the card, since I 'won't likely be asked for it.' I went ahead and got it - took five business days to arrive - total cost, $0.
3. Marriage License: Went to the 'vital docs' site of the county where we were hitched. Filled everything out online, arrived in three days - total cost, $5.
It cost less than $20 to obtain all three certified/legal documents, and it took less than five business days to receive them. Note: if I had lived where I was born or married, it would have been a day. Tops.
Anyone telling you this is too hard or unfair is lying and hiding the real reason they want to stop Voter ID.
I know you guys knew that already... lol
If ID checks are “Jim Crow,” then so are Democratic National Conventions, where delegates are required to produce ID to get in!
So are the following institutions (among many others):
• Labor Union Conventions
• The Grammys
• The Oscars
• The Emmys
• Banks
• Pharmacies
• Hospitals
• Airports
• Hotels
• Gun Shops
• Casinos
• Schools
• Social Security
• DMVs
• Casinos
• Employers
IDs prevent fraud in finance, health, the Democratic Party, and so much more
Voter ID does the same for elections
Calling ID requirements “Jim Crow” is absurd and insulting to the American people, who overwhelmingly
agree that we need to take a few simple steps to make our elections secure
So, what *really* worries you about the SAVE America Act and its voter ID requirements?
@jimcramer hey Jim. What should club members be thinking today regarding COF and Potus wanting to cap interest rates at 10% for the next twelve months? Interested in your thoughts before the markets open this week
BREAKING: Brave Iranians are now openly taking to the streets with the true flag of Iran, the Lion and the Sun, rising up against the Islamic regime.

FREE IRAN.
We should all stand with those brave Iranian protesters.
Leadership is so desperate, they’ve pulled the internet.
We must build on the success America and Israel created that breaks Iran’s evil regime.
FREE IRAN! Why aren't we seeing the same energy and support as gaza gets...or gaza used to get before it was hamas doing all the oppressing? I think I answered my own question. FREE IRAN!
4 retiring Senate Democrats won't face a far-left primary challenger in 2026.
Call them and let them know you want their legacy to be an open government.
