[Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng @drtlaleng]

In South Africa, the national department of health has ZERO information on our own constitutional rights nor info on the Choice on Termination of Pregnancy Act affirming rights to abortion. That erasure, silence & lack of info is the CHILLING, the gagging. #SayByeGGR #Fight4HER

[#Fight4HER Ohio @Fight4herOH]

Who's ready to pass the #GlobalHERAct and put an end to this policy once and for all? #ByeGGR

[Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng @drtlaleng]

We must demand that the United States Senate pass the HER Act to end the unilateral enforcement of the gag rule and end the Hyde/Helms amendments FOREVER!!!!!!!

* unrestricted funding for COMPREHENSIVE SRHR
* disaggregated DATA to ensure accountability to the BIPOC communities.
* registration of generic abortion pills to ensure affordable abortions
* provide CPD & train new providers of comprehensive SRHR INCLUDING Abortions #SayByeGGR

[Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng @drtlaleng]

What a relief. Wow. My ability to work across sectors including HIV is now renewed. I was unable to form partnerships with other civil society organizations who were receiving USAID funds. This fractured severely our collective efforts to protect and promote SRHR.

[Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng @drtlaleng]

The role presents a moment for accountability for gross rights abuses and violations. Through the the mandate, individuals/groups may forward information and I apply international human rights laws and a gender perspective as mandated. #SayByeGGR #Fight4HER

[Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng @drtlaleng]

Girls, cis women and trans women are mostly ill treated, given poor information and often experience stigma when accessing SRHR services. #SayByeGGR #Fight4HER

[Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng @drtlaleng]

South Africa fails on all essential pillars of public health;
Availability, Accessibility, Affordability and Quality care. The issues that contain to lead to rights abuses were pronounced during the COVID-19 pandemic. #SayByeGGR #Fight4HER
