With all the criticism of the SummerSlam build, the show itself ended up being AWESOME.

For a PLE to feel truly special, it needs a little bit of everything, and I think SummerSlam delivered.

- Surprises: Randy Orton's return, Kevin Owens' return
- Emotional moments: Nick Aldis celebrating with his family, Chad Gable winning the IC Title and celebrating with his family
- Feel good moments: Chelsea Green's title win, KO hugging Sami Zayn, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins doing the Shield fist bump, Brock passing the torch
- Epic Cinema Match: Seth vs Roman
- Entrances: Cody Rhodes, Penta, Seth Rollins, Nick Aldis
- Comedy: Solo running it back, Danhausen
- Holy Sh*t moments: KO's top rope spots, Charlotte hanging from the title, Tiffany Stratton's two huge dives, Royce Keys' two powerslams, CM Punk's moonsault attempt 😂
- Storytelling: Chad Gable's full circle journey, the Shield callback, Randy Orton finally getting his revenge

That's why this felt like one of the most complete WWE shows in a long time. #SummerSlam
