@jan_murray@RRRunnersUK@LevenePaul49134@mara_yamauchi@TeamGB@HallisseyC I’m slow, but for the past two weeks I’ve come 1st in my age group and I’m bloody chuffed to bits.
If I was a lady, I’d be really pissed off if I’d been cheated out of a single spot by some cheating bloke pretending to be a girl.
Is @parkrun competitive? You bet your life it is!
Please read our latest Substack and help us get to 1000 club members by 3 October.
If we achieve this together #RealityRulesRunnersUK will debut in the TOP 20 largest #Parkrun clubs!

I still find it hilarious that so many people are trying to portray me as a washed up Olympian desperate for parkrun glory 😆 I'm not angry that I personally missed out on a 1st female place to a man on Saturday, I'm angry that parkrun won't give any women a fair category.
One more time, for the people at the back who clearly haven't been listening: we're not trying to exclude anyone from parkrun. We're not trying to make it more competitive. We're just asking for a change to the existing female category so it only includes actual females. Simple.
My Team GB London 2012 team-mate @HallisseyC was robbed of 1st Female by a man today. This is at least the 3rd time he has robbed Claire of 1st Female. He runs races in the MALE category! Why can’t he do that in parkrun? Because @parkrunUK allows MEN in F cat. It’s a disgrace!🤬
This is full on bonkers and dangerous to women and girls.
It's also contrary to any reasonable interpretation of Green Party policy and isn't something we should be saying or doing or advocating for.
Give biological men legal right to compete in women’s sport, say Greens
The plans, which could become party policy within weeks, would “extend trans people’s rights” so they can compete in the categories “they feel most comfortable in”.

At least 11 males ran in the Female category in UK parkrun today.
Two of them really smashed it in the age grade rankings! One got top by age grade but would have been 10th if he’d run in the Male category. He bumped a woman in middle-age from the same club off the top spot…
An adult man loses it and calls teenage girls trash for wearing an xx-xy shirt. This is not healthy. That’s really wrong. He needs to be banned from all future games.
The WNBA fined the co-owner for cursing at girls & banned her from 5 home games.
The Sophie Cunningham movement is growing.
Supporters are planning rallies outside upcoming Indiana Fever games in Portland, Oregon, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, after two teenage fans were left in tears during a confrontation with a Seattle Storm co-owner.
"I want to stand in public solidarity with those girls. I also want to stand in public solidarity with Sophie and keep this momentum going," Washington-based activist Amy Sousa said.
"We were just going to do something quiet with just a couple of us, and seeing what happened to those girls, we just thought, 'We can't be quiet.'"

Dear social workers.
Can you please stop referring to children as "they"?
I am reading child protection documents that relate to applications by local authorities to remove children from their parents' care.
Clarity is therefore vitally important.
As the expert assessing the parents, I need to know which child is being referred to, and whether that child is male, or female.
I also need to know whether the documents refer to a single child, or to a sibling group.
Calling any child (including a newborn, "they"), introduces confusion and thereby adds to risk.
Please stop the gender nonsense.
If a child is female, use "she".
If a child is male, use "he".
Thank you.
Dr P.
I truly believe there is a safe space and love for EVERYBODY. Biological girls, biological boys, trans women, and trans men. Everyone is welcome at my table! You can disagree and still be kind.
Bravo to those girls for standing up for what they believe. You’ll be hearing from me soon💕 yay for gifts.
Truly embarrassing of the co-owner. Unfortunately shows the type of leader she is.
This is blatantly inaccurate @MetroUK.
Steph Richards is excluded from the formal proceedings of Labour’s women’s conference because he is a man - not because he is trans.
While we’re discussing inaccuracies:
“Biological sex assigned at birth” is both inaccurate and ideologically loaded. Sex is observed and recorded, not assigned.
Richards having a GRC and undergoing surgery is irrelevant to eligibility because neither changes his sex under the Equality Act.
It is regrettable that Labour previously misled Richards about his eligibility for women’s opportunities. But last year’s Supreme Court judgment clarified the meaning of “woman” and “female” in law.
Isn’t it time Metro caught up - and stopped misleading its readers?
Good. He’s a man.
No man will ever experience having their cervix pierced with a tenaculum to hold it steady whilst a consultant inserts instruments into the womb to take a biopsy. Without an anaesthetic.
No man will ever be afraid to leave the house because they are bleeding so severely they will flood through their sanitary protection in under 45 minutes.
No man will ever wait 8 hours in a hospital to have a male registrar tell them that “the bleeding isn’t that bad”, give them a prescription for a drug they’ve already explained didn’t stop the bleeding when it was first prescribed 8 weeks ago, and then send them home.
No man will ever have to get up every hour in the night to change their sanitary protection and still end up with a bed that looks like a scene from Carrie in the morning.
No man will ever experience uterine cramping so severe that it takes their breath away and makes it impossible to work because none of the painkillers make a blind bit of difference.
No man will ever go for an ultrasound scan, get up off the bed, and apologise because blood is dripping onto the floor.
No man will ever experience any of this and he IS a man. He has no place at women’s conference.
My choir was reinstated to sing at the London Marathon at around 6pm the evening before the event - and only after lawyers became involved.
By then, only one other member and I felt comfortable singing at the event.
This is how cancellation tactics work. The aim is not merely to silence an individual, but to make everyone around them fearful of being associated with them. Public scrutiny places relationships under immense pressure and weakens the group.
I’m sad to say some relationships have been damaged beyond repair as a direct result of what happened.
And how did we end up there?
I had publicly stated my lawful belief in biological reality: that there are two sexes and it is not possible to change sex.
The disability charity Scope then received an anonymous complaint about me and dropped us - just days ahead of the event. We were due to be part of their marathon 'cheer squad' - which we'd done for two consecutive years, without issue.
To my knowledge, none of the other singers involved had expressed any public opinion on the subject. But everyone had to be 'punished' - on account of my lawfully held beliefs. My attempts to resolve quietly were unsuccessful.
I have since received two further anonymous complaints relating to voluntary roles I hold. Work I do to benefit the community - that I am not paid for.
How anyone can hear this - or look at what's happened to Women’s Rights Network at Féile an Phobail recently - and not recognise that we have a serious problem is beyond me.
Whatever your views on sex and gender, this should concern you. Our right to speak freely is at stake.
"Two transgender netball players banned after opponent flattened."
It reads like a spoof headline.
Unfortunately, it's real.
It took rival teams threatening to boycott matches before these two male players were removed from the court.
Women's safety should never depend on whether enough people are prepared to boycott.
