@ARdoppelganger@ballandstuff21 Hi Aaron, my people have the sating resist the urge to shalaye which means no need to explain. It was meant for your inner circle but has gone viral. It doesn’t change the intention. So don’t explain to nobody
Not a single politician linked to the Epstein files in the UK received anywhere near an iota of the scrutiny btw. No crime was committed. The debate surrounding his tenure shouldn’t have even left academic circles
For Jason. May you find peace in the arms of the God of love and acceptance - in your escape from the whirlpool of media scrutiny and public judgement. Forgive us all for we know not what we do.
Everything about the Jason Arday situation is utterly infuriating but maybe never so much as when you compare the public vitriol he received with the comparative lack of it directed at those who have done orders of magnitude greater material harm.
Absolutely horrified by this, but I reached out to his team last week as I was so worried about this happening. No matter what everyone thinks about this man and his career, he did not deserve to be hounded and smeared to death. I am already seeing gleeful comments about his death, claiming he was mentally ill, that he caused this himself, that he deserved it, and claiming the immense media storm around this is not responsible for his death.
I will not have been the only person who saw this death coming a mile off - who could possibly have survived this??
A reminder that this man committed no crime - he was hounded to death by media, and millions of people on social media who were criticising him, digging up information about him, speculating, investigating, finding new people to interview and ask about him, laughing and mocking him - and let’s be honest - we don’t even know what is true and what isn’t yet, but it’s too late. Again.
We treat abusers, murderers and rapists with more compassion than this. We need serious conversations about media conduct and the role of endless reports, speculation and op-eds that target one person repeatedly.
Did this man lie about his career? Maybe he did. Maybe he made the entire thing up.
Did he deserve to die? Absolutely not. Not in a million years.
This death is tragic and horrific. I just hope we don’t now find out that much of what was reported and speculated on was filled with lies and targeted harassment of this man, because then we are in extremely deep water. Again.

Hope you're okay??
@Dr_Afo@AsogwaChijioke1 Very true. Why when we move, you can adjust quickly. And why doctors should try and do exchange programs so you see both sides.
The lack of urgency further supports the theory. A lot is unregulated in Nigeria. I’m a doctor but I would never claim to be able to do C/S. Or even take a delivery. Outside psych, I know nothing. People be jack of all trades to survive
Not all hospitals are staffed by trained doctors/ nurses. There are protocols. All towels/ instruments are counted before and after surgery. I have heard of a patient being colleague reopened while in theatre because a scissors was missing. After several counts they opened her.
I thought this thing of forgetting instruments in a patient during surgery was an exaggeration. Just saw that forceps was left in a lady during surgery in Lagos and she died. Also no sense of urgency.
As someone who has worked in psychiatry in Nigeria. There are quite a number of non verbal children who are autistic in Nigeria. One of the core symptoms of autism is delayed speech, it might not be causal the relocation to Nigeria. Nigeria has its perks cos it sink or swim
There is something about Nigeria 🇳🇬 that someone needs to research: its ability to elicit speech in non verbal autistic children. A friend just told me about her 5 year old daughter, who had never uttered a word while they were in Canada. However, after just few months in Nigeria
Someone who could buy a knife with the sole purpose of killing his gf, keep it for days, & then use it to murder the poor girl in the UK, do you know how many crimes he would have committed in Nigeria & gone scot‑free ???
May he rot in hell, with his pangolo lawyer!
