Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences (AARTO) demerit points are coming, so don’t say we didn’t warn you..

Here is what to know about the AARTO demerit system:

You start on 0 points. Every traffic offence adds points to your licence. Once you go above 15 points, your licence gets suspended for 3 months for every point above 15.

17 points = 6-month suspension.

If your licence is suspended twice and you exceed 15 points again, it can be cancelled completely. You may have to start again with a learner’s licence.

Also, paying the fine does not remove the points. Drive safely and stop ignoring traffic notices.

Whenever the name of Pitso Mosimane is mentioned in Bafana Bafana, many tend to state that Pitso failed at Bafana.

There is little or no mention of what Pitso has achieved and learned since his tenure with Bafana. Surely, he has learned a lot from playing on the international stage. He has been in three Club World Cups and won three Continental Championships. We gave Steward Baxter another opportunity to coach Bafana without making a fuss. Why Pitso cannot be given another chance as he has more experience now when we compared on his first stint at Bafana.
