✅H 26η Ιουνίου 2007 αποτελεί την ημέρα που έσπασαν τα ρεκόρ όλων των εποχών για πολλές περιοχές της Ελλάδας και ιδιαίτερα για την Αττική όπου είχαμε 47,5°C στη Νέα Φιλαδέλφεια , 45, 3°C στο Μαρκόπουλο, 44.8°C στο Εθνικό Κολυμβητήριο από τους σταθμούς της #ΕΜΥ , καθώς 44.8 °C και στο κέντρο της Αθήνας στον σταθμό του Θησείου του ΕΑΑ, θερμοκρασία που αποτελεί την υψηλότερη τιμή που έχει καταγραφεί από το 1897 !
✅Πολλοί σταθμοί στην Ελλάδα έγραψαν πάνω από 43°C, με ερασιτεχνική μέτρηση στο Βόλο 45.3°C (44.6°C επίσημη τιμή ΕΑΑ). Την ίδια ηµέρα στους σταθµούς της ΕΜΥ στην Ελευσίνα, καθώς και στους σταθµούς του ΕΑΑ στα Χανιά κατ��γράφησαν 43.7 °C, στα Τρίκαλα 43.8 °C και στην Παλαιόχωρα Χανίων 45.0 °C.

Xerokampos has now surpassed Kasos NOA to become the driest area of #Greece. This confirms the seminal work of Mariolopoulos (1938) who had reported 207.1 mm mean annual precip for the area a century ago and described a ''Mediterranean desert'' climate.

I am also attaching the old Oregon data (2004-2019) merged with the Davis. Unfortunately only scarce precip data from the Oregon station. But the Davis one is exactly the same type of station used officially by NOA.

@Vesca_wx @extremetemps This is a Davis Pro2 station and the Italian owner Andrea Marini is well known in Crete. He has been operating from 2004 two met stations in Xerokampos. The old Oregon station and from 2020 the Davis. His met data reach the local media frequently. It is a highly trusted station.

Indeed a very hot night! Bali from the CW station recorded a night temperature of 27.8C which is the second highest night time January T ever recorded in Greece !!! The European record remains in Falasarna with 28.3C in January 2021
