@FunnilingusLA I don't know you or your journey, so obviously I'll give you my opinion: honestly, I'd say no UNLESS something in your history suggested you could spiral and hurt yourself (so in that case he'd be asking the therapist to check in, for example)
I went to a woman’s funeral. Her husband gave a eulogy and spoke mostly about himself. I mean he started from his birth and spent a significant amount of time explaining his life and career before he met her. Her pastor said she was the kindest, most helpful person he’d ever met.
@shereeny@The_Law_Boy@bobbyteriyaki I saw the empathy one happen in real time, and it was bothering me so much that I put a correction that it was, in fact, a real thing called empathy, and then deleted it 3 mins later bc why would I even try
@MichaelaOkla If you're looking for something that handles grief but also is silly and makes you laugh (that's what I look for when I'm down), there's 'Never Have I Ever' on netflix, about a v dramatic Indian teen girl who just lost her dad. S2 came out last week! Hope you feel better x
@hankgreen counselling services or whatever's available to you (also cheaper than waiting to deal with it until you are out of uni - it doesn't just 'go away' after) x
Don't get me wrong though, it's still worth it and still awesome. You grow, you meet new people, and you learn so much!
@hankgreen Uni isn't a black box where you go in as v1.0 and pop out a v2.0 adult with a degree. It's hard, and you change at an accelerated speed, and, importantly, it's really hard on your mental health. Don't think you can just 'stick it out' if you're struggling, contact your (1/?)
@Cameraonhold@hankgreen So did I! I went into biomedical science, which was essentially an umbrella degree where you started in broad human biology and specialized as you went along. You can't be expected to know what your 'forever passion' is at 18, it'll develop and change as you go!
The way y’all be treating disabled people is fucked up. Like what’s the point? I go to order food with my whole order written in my notes. The woman say something back to me, and I inform her that I am Deaf. She got an attitude, rolled her eyes, and walked away from me.
White privilege is waking up in the morning, never having to worry being killed by a cop when you’re stopped for a hanging air freshener. Think about the lunacy and specificity of that. I think about it every time I drive.
@Glitter2Pink @RomeTheTrainer_ Exactly! It's a real thing, there's been studies on how many NFL players suffer from chronic traumatic encephalopathy, which can cause personality changes and psychosis. Awful how it's just accepted, and then they get away with it in the end...
