I remember thinking how impressive it was for UConn to have beaten a team that had played in the national final the previous year. This win began the run to the NIT title, a disappointing 1988-89 and then the dream season of 1990.

@brettrid3r This cap was worn over three seasons. It was worn on almost every Friday night game in 2009, Friday night games in the first half on 2010, and only once in 2011. It was always paired with the alternate blue or alternate red jerseys. It was worn once with the road grays in Tor.
