@jasonfried How about creating a new document instead of a discussion? Like a document still has my name as author on it, and comments below. Docs feel like they'll be around longer than discussions, but how do you differentiate one vs the other?
My toxic trait is wanting something that's sold out and then finding it for sale in an international e-commerce store and buying it for more than it's worth. But, my new backpack will arrive in 5-26 business days.
@todpunk Agree. Early google was a great product and a super smart team that invented a way to globally scale it. Now Google is mostly eager hyper scaling of half-baked products. It's a horrible playbook to copy.
Team just had a program crash because of a COBOL exception. Amazing. I unironically love legacy software. Working for decades and still for decades to come.
Basement server and KVM are on tailscale. Both had key expiry on and expired same day. Ssh over different tailscale account to server on same network, proxy to cockpit, vnc to machine, reinstall tailscale.. back online. I am constantly reminded why I pay GCP to do this for me.
Google is cleaning house by deprecating all of their older models. Bummer, too, because some of them were superb for the price. In Oct this year the min supported model will be 3.5 flash at ~3x the cost of 2.5 flash.
New to running but the mindset of running mile 1 in a way that lets me run mile 5 is very refreshing. Focus on the long term. My ego wants to go faster, or my will gives out and I want to stop. Either way, itβs a battle and itβs fun.
Feels like I need to beg Opus 4 models to use search tools where as Fable 5 is a heavvvy user of search tools. Wonder how much of a difference that makes.
Pursuing a one cable desk setup. Thunderbolt display was a game changer. Might have found a speaker solution. Picked these up and connect via USB. Vol up/down keys work out of the box. Sound good, too. https://t.co/nl1EMKrU9S
