To all the new collectors joining @DisneyPinnacle โ welcome! โจ
One of my favorite things about this community is how willing people are to help.
Whether youโre opening your very first capsule, trying to understand variants, learning what mint counts mean, figuring out trades, completing sets, or just exploring the app, there are a lot of collectors here who genuinely enjoy sharing what theyโve learned.
Disney Pinnacle has collectors from all kinds of backgrounds โ Disney fans, pin traders, sports collectors, digital collectors, and people who are completely new to collecting altogether. We were all beginners once.
If youโre new, donโt be afraid to ask questions.
If youโve been around for a while, consider replying below and letting newer collectors know youโre happy to help.
The more knowledge we share, the stronger the community becomes.
Letโs continue building a community that is welcoming, educational, fun, and full of people who love collecting.
What was the first set, character, or pin that got you excited about Disney Pinnacle? โจ

While the death and taxes game continues and players need liquidity, youโve got a great opportunity to pick up some gems for the next couple of months.
I asked ChatGPT the same question and added Disney Pinnacle as one of the options. Here was its response and how the results ranked...

"Hereโs a bull-case probability framework, not โwho I like,โ but a weighted view based on financial backing, user growth potential, IP strength, technology, historical execution, collectible psychology, network effects, and known risks. Think of it as:

Four days in. A Star Warsโข Genesis 1-of-1 is still out there. ๐

Foundation is gone. What about https://t.co/mW4uLH8uXG?
We thought we were building something permanent on FND, but that was an illusion.
The company folded and with it the access to our artworks and our collections, unless we jumped into an unseemly scramble to locate and pin at our own cost.
Coming hard on the heels of Nifty Gateway, I didn't have the stomach for any of that, so just let it all slide away. Replaced the illusion of permanence with good memories of mutual support and artistic appreciation.
With far fewer resources (just me and Sub really), what assurances can we give to artists and collectors on the https://t.co/mW4uLH8uXG platform?
The risks are that Manus, used to develop the platform, suddenly glitches or destroys the code, or I lose access to it for maintenance.
What happens then?
Well artists should recall that this is a mint on demand platform. If something has been minted, then you received the price and can hold SCBK or convert it to Sol. If your piece becomes unavailable to mint because the platform disappeared, then you can of course mint it elsewhere.
Collectors will always have the artwork they bought. This is not platform-dependent. It was minted on the Sol blockchain, so if you attach your wallet to Magic Eden or other Sol marketplaces, you should see your owned items right there. And can relist them (albeit in Sol rather than SCBK).
Which leaves the matter of the pinned artwork, and the maintenance of the Pinata subscription, which has caused such a stir for Foundation users.
I can make all the assertions I want about my firm intention to continue paying that sub. But a live example serves better.
The Cybercities collection, launched on OpenSea about four years ago sold around 300 of the 10K drop. Then the wallet was hacked, so I won't ever receive any benefit should those 300 become super-popular. It's very unlikely - I can't even find them on OpenSea any more.
But... because those 300 mints went to people who trusted me enough to buy them, I've been faithfully paying the Pinata pinning fees ever since.
And now I've upgraded the subscription to cover the pinning of saucery artworks too.
My house could fall down around my ears before I'd cancel that sub.
But... Foundation, Known Origin, Nifty Gateway have all taught us that nothing lasts forever... so we'd better enjoy what we have while we have it!
Have a great weekend all.
May the 4th be with you. โจ
