Let's start by keeping it light and goofy! Tell us about your first successful/feeble attempt at a camera hack/modification/build. No matter how simple or complicated, taped or glued, paper mache or 3d printed etc!! Tag us with #HackitDontBuyit!
Thank you to @filmcf and @ZDP189 for the film for my students. Gave out some to the Level 4 students as part of an experimental photography brief. Will post the results. 🙏 @TraffordCollege
We are proud to have sponsored a grant of 40 rolls of film to @siwiakphoto and @StillsEdinburgh to teach film photography to deserving and underprivileged kids.
We understand @camerafilmphoto was a little short on stock for @StillsEdinburgh and will ship the rest when available.
May I offer my heart felt thanks to @timodani for editing the second edition of Quarantine Zine and to @Pteropus_66 for funding and doing the production and mailing.
We will all get physical copies! (please bear with the postal services) till then I'll look into the PDF.
@timodani@ZDP189 The quality required is very basic. Any photocopier or home printer would do the job. Last time, there were around 40 contributor copies x 40 sides of A4.
@timodani If someone steps up to print and post the zine for under USD8 per copy, FCF can sponsor editing and free copies for contributors.
It's around 20 pages of A4, double sided.
Interested parties DM me, @timodani, or @ZDP189
We're proud to have sponsored costs of around €350 for the first edition of Quarantine Zine, which shipped today.
The zine provides a creative outlet for our community in these trying and restrictive times.
Thank you to everyone who contributed, or bought a copy!
We're funding the inaugural issue of the film photography community QUARANTINE so that it can be edited and sent to participants free of cost.
Why not join in? Submit a photo by DM to @timodani by the weekend.
Here's an idea:
📸 Analogue photography zine.
📸 All contributors are from our community.
📸 Cheap B/W photocopy production.
📸 Contributors get a free copy.
📸 Subsequent copies/ public pays cost.
📸 Later, we accept advertising to offset the cost.
Any comments?
We're looking for a project to kick off 2020 with. The budget is €500 to €1,000. Contact this account if you wish to discuss a proposal.
Eg. Something that would kick-start a career, a worthy artistic project for publishing/exhibition, or activities that benefit the community.
FCF's goal is to support developing analog photographic artists by supplying consumables, cash and technical support, at the right time to make the biggest difference in their careers.
This contributes to the vibrancy of the film photography community as a whole.
Many of us, particularly unknown artists, are barely surviving, living hand-to-mouth, while the wealthy patronize prestigious established artistic causes.
The wealthy need to reexamine their motives and apply their patronage where it will do more good.
