It's here again! Scalarama Leeds invite you to dive into the launch of their 2022 Film Festival, with a rare opportunity to see arguably Burt Lancaster's best, and strangest movie The Swimmer (PG, 1968, 95 mins).

With artwork by Leeds-based @aabillustration, many of the cinemas might look strangely familiar, having been repurposed as shops, clubs and offices.

The project is supported by @LeedsInspired & @HeritageFundUK, with hard work from @FilmFringe & @letsdanceagency.

Our new project is The Little Reliance (Home) Cinema and our first film is the first of a new programme of films, one that constitutes an ode to the specific pleasure of watching movies on a big screen.

There will be an introduction & post film drink-and-a-chat using Zoom. You'll need to have your own copy of the film to take part, Matinee is avaliable to stream from YouTube, Google Play and Amazon Prime (pro tip - it's included with a free Arrow Video trial on Prime)
