At World Refuge Film Academy, refugees use storytelling to heal, challenge stereotypes & build empathy.
Art becomes peacebuilding. Stories spark clarity. Voices inspire coexistence. 🌍

World Refugee Day | 🎥 Stories That Break Barriers
Wee honor the resilience, creativity, and strength of refugees around the world.
At @FilmRefuge we are proud to be a platform where refugee voices lead the narrative through film and storytelling that speaks truth to power.
Motivated by Dan Harmon's story circle, we enable refugees to create authentically compelling narratives. We elevate their voices and make sure their unique viewpoints are heard by assisting them on the universal path of storytelling.

With such powerful voices amplifying our mission, we can foster a new wave of talent and narratives from communities that are rarely represented. This is a huge step forward in creating a more inclusive, diverse, and empowered creative industry! 🎥🌍

Every month, @FilmRefuge gathers young passionate refugee filmmakers, storytellers, and actors in Nakivale Refugee Settlement to empower them in the creative skills to tackle challenges they are facing in their own community using film and stories that they share during training.
We had the opportunity to showcase activities and performances of refugee filmmakers and actors and expressed our concerns of exposure to the international scene and our open doors to influencers willing to share their expertise with refugees.
