Watched #FastX last night and boy, did it redefine the meaning of "silly"!
This masterpiece of mediocrity had me questioning life choices, but hey, it managed to be stupidly entertaining. If you're up for a wild ride with a side of brain cell depletion, buckle up!#Family
Toxic is a boring film.
After so much of hype, and after KGF 2, if you're going to deliver a boring film for the audience, it is nothing short of a sin.
The main culprit is the disjointed screenplay. My question is: did you guys have test screenings of the film? Because if you had shown it to a select group of unbiased people, they would have surely told you what exactly was going wrong.
Aamir Khan has always believed in test screenings (i am not talking about recent films). One of the reasons why his track record remained impeccable for such a long period in the past was because he would take feedback seriously and make as many corrections as possible before the actual release.
Toxic was supposed to come with Dhurandhar 2. You guys had ample time for course correction, if required. Maybe that course correction simply did not happen.
A three-hour film that bores the audience is a very bad idea.
And please, Animal did not work at the box office merely because of its bold content. These are not the 1980s. Today, audiences have countless options to consume intimate content. Animal worked because the storytelling connected with the audience.
The storytelling in Toxic is just not working.
Whatever fantastic opening Toxic has received is, in my opinion, entirely because of Yash's massive stardom. But will that initial enthusiasm sustain once word of mouth takes over?
I doubt it.
What are your thoughts?
A terrible ... TERRIBLE WATCH!
Just goes to show how the "Toxic" hero trope has run its course.
Please avoid this mess and instead find something better to do with your time.
Baffling that all that money was burned to make this pile of 💩

@tykjen@chuthuluthebald Odyssey is a poem that was an interpretation itself of centuries of bards carrying out oral storytelling. Layers of interpretations on interpretations and here we are debating how the amount crying in the movie is different from the poem. Level of illiteracy is confounding.
@chuthuluthebald@tykjen Hah exactly this fucking daft, Tykjen, is just like one of those other idiots who feels the need to speak shit without an understanding of what is being discussed.
Yes, @VishekC , this is indeed true. For two weeks, his magazine kept deriding ‘Sholay’ and its superhit business by calling it ‘Chhole’. And today, he says, the frenzy for ‘Dhurandhar’ is similar to what ‘Sholay’ achieved in its time. The question that arises is: why did you lie in 1975 and say that ‘Sholay’ was a flop? Anyway, what can you say about a person who puts out his review even before he has watched the complete film? A blot on journalism!!
@jammypants4 MBJ inhabited two characters so distinctly that one knew just from a silhouette who it was.
Simple-minded folks won't get it.
But that's ok..not your fault. Just how you were built.
MANN-PISHACH
A zero-budget film experiment by Rahi Anil Barve.
An 80-minute film built on a home PC using two actors (Yaaneea Bhardwaj, Deepak Damle), a 60-page script, hand-drawn storyboards, iPhone recordings, Photoshop, generative AI and After Effects.
Total cost: ₹33,000.
If even one broke filmmaker realizes something can be created from nothing, the experiment was worth it.

@SumitkadeI So damn stupid. Don't paint your insecurities about your religion onto the rest of us. It's a damn movie title and it doesn't impact us like it does for you.
A R Rahman and all us sang Vande Mataram to a crowd that chanted with us on November 23 2025 in Pune at the R K Laxman memorial award concert.
He sings Maa Tujhe Salaam at almost every concert @bainjal - everyone who has attended the concerts knows this.
Maybe he felt his voice was not at its best or just didn’t feel like singing that day when you interviewed him. And that’s OK.
The responses under this tweet ‘OH THAT EXPLAINS IT’ shows exactly what’s gone wrong in the recent past.
WTH have we come to as a society. A man who's work demands all our respect has to clear the air on some harmless thoughts he shared candidly.
Shame on you guys.
