I watch way too many movies and write about them so it doesn’t go to waste.

Hokum — ★★★½☆☆
Really enjoyed this one.
The real-life side interested me more than the supernatural elements, but the mix actually works pretty well. Good tension and it keeps you hooked from start to finish. 👀

Hugo — ★★★½☆
Started strong, then lost me a bit in the middle.. but the ending brings everything together beautifully
A true love letter to cinema with strong post-war vibes and an almost Oliver Twist spirit that works really well

Exit 8 — ★★★☆☆
Interesting concept, but it lacks substance.
It tries to explore routine in a deeper way, but it never fully comes together — and some moments are frustratingly obvious. Still, the originality makes it entertaining.

Nuremberg — ★★★★☆
A really well-crafted recreation of a key historical moment.
Malek and Crowe are both incredible. A great example of how geopolitical history can be portrayed in an engaging and even educational way.

If I Had Legs I'd Kick You — ★★★☆☆
Relentlessly stressful and anxiety-inducing from start to finish.
Rose Byrne is fantastic, carrying a drama where life’s holes just keep getting bigger and never stop. 😵💫

Song Sung Blue — ★★★☆☆
The joyful, musical side really works… the dramatic side, not so much.
Feels a bit too long... but there’s a nice message about enjoying the good moments and pushing through the hard ones. 🎶

The Rule of Jenny Pen — ★★★☆☆
Creates a raw, cold, and deeply unsettling atmosphere inside the nursing home.
It’s suffocating and frustrating in a way that really works… but I did disconnect at times. John Lithgow is fantastic.

Michael — ★★★★☆
Went in knowing it wouldn’t be a fully accurate portrait — and that actually helped me enjoy it more.
Both young and adult Michael performances are awesome, and of course... those songs and that stage just hit 🔥

Zootopia 2 — ★★★★☆
Starts a bit flat, but it keeps getting better and better as it goes.
By the end I was fully in — entertaining, great humor, and some really nice references. Everything just clicks. 🐰🦊✨

Predator: Badlands — ★★★★☆
Genuinely surprised me after the director’s last (disappointing) entry.
Feels like a Monster Hunter take within the Predator saga — raw and ruthless. Loved deadly creatures and the Yautja evolution…

Prey — ★★☆☆☆
Didn’t hook me at any point — everything feels too flat.
Little action, no humor, and not much dynamism in the characters. Easily the weakest in the saga for me (I know I’m in the minority). 🤷♂️👽

The Predator — ★★★☆☆
Messy script and some characters just don’t really work.
The plot is simple and doesn’t make much sense… but the action and dark humor make it an entertaining ride. 🔫👽

Predators — ★★★½☆
Fast-paced and packed with action from start to finish.
The premise and development are genuinely interesting, and Adam Brody is surprisingly great here. 🔥👽

Predator 2 — ★★★☆☆
Same idea as the first one but set in the big city.
It can’t keep the same level of tension and doesn’t really try anything new, which holds it back — still, the hunter alien is always entertaining. 👽🔥
