@AdviserCounsel I mean, pension funds have billions invested in VC funds, hedge funds, and other higher risk investment vehicles (all as part of a highly diversified portfolio). Which is totally appropriate and smart.
@Heffomite@alittleleader This. Hazan’s receipe is excellent. Just make sure you are using top quality tomatoes. San Marzano canned or fresh tomatoes (like from the garden fresh). I add some pepper and salt to taste and u might add fresh basil (but totally not needed).
@jbblawmd This is what AC/DC perfected. Three chords (and/or a riff), some screaming, a blazing guitar solo and a driving beat. Same tempo, same songs, kicking ass every time. Flawless rock.
@kevinbaum013 Classic tack from right wingers too cowardly to call out Trump -- no, really, he is this amazing supergenius whose lame advisors are stupid and have somehow hoodwinked this amazing supergenius. Occam's razor suggests it is, in fact, Trump who is an incurious dumbass.
The “AI hallucinating cases and answers” problem is and always has been mostly a lawyer laziness / competence problem, not an AI problem. AI proponents always oversell AIs capabilities but as a lawyer you owe your clients, your bar and your licensure prudence not “break things”
What gets me about these rule proposals is... that's already the rule! You're already not supposed to cite fake cases. We don't need an additional rule, we got it right the first time, guys.
@SellersCounsel Agree that good clients appreciate it. Just had to submit a 25% bigger than budgeted bill to a client and they didn’t blink — “worth it, you were cranking out weekends and nights on this”. But jedi mind tricking clients into not needing the urgency is the S-tier skill….
Replace hip hop with Elvis or rock n roll or heavy metal or Prince and you have the exact same complaint blue hairs have made about popular music for 6 decades.
Unpopular opinion: Hip-hop culture has done enormous damage to society.
It glorifies crime, promiscuity, materialism, and disrespect towards others, while convincing young men that these behaviors are admirable.
Society eventually becomes what it celebrates.
One truth in M&A law practice — when you sign up a client who proclaims from the outset “we have to close this deal by X date”, your actual closing date will never, ever be that date.
