@Schandillia I agree with most points except maybe the WhatsApp point, personally feel GenZ footprint on WhatsApp as mode of any social communication would be lowest.
Our dislike of Hardik has nothing to do with his cricket, nor with anything he might do on the pitch post victories/losses. It's rooted in something else entirely, and the slurs used for him in the last couple of days reaffirm an old truth about India and caste.

The man who stomped on the head of the terror suspect in the Australian shooting spree has been arrested… I’m not sure you’ll find many willing jury participants for that one! 🙄
If Mamdani’s victory truly means something to you, fight in your residential society and ensure Muslims don’t face housing discrimination.
Invest time, bodies, money in ensuring domestic workers don’t have to use different lifts, or admit- Mamdani is just a character in a TV show for you.
Dudes who put off having a serious relationship because they want to “focus on the grind” are cringe because a loving woman will 100% make your life easier and give you purpose.
In light of the young EY employee's death, I am absolutely certain there are managers in organisations all over India quietly grumbling about the attention it's getting, whining about "kids these days" and their capacity for hard work, what it was like when they started out etc.
The advice to “quit if you feel stressed or overworked at work” comes from privilege. Not everybody has the luxury to think of non-revenue generating months while looking for another job. Putting the onus on the individual for a systemic issue is not right at all.
WHAT CAN MEN DO TO HELP
I have been struggling to find words about the heinous and tragic crime of sexual violence and murder of a young doctor in Kolkata, and have only been amplifying stories of women & medical professionals so far.
But looking at the comments in so many posts of women, I’ve been horrified & disturbed.. but sadly not surprised. Hundreds of men have, as usual, chosen to respond with ‘Not all men’, ‘Men get raped too’, ‘Fake feminism’, ‘Victim card’, ‘Attention seeker’ and so on.
They are going to attack this post too, and I’m not sure if there’s any easy way to fight that mindset, so this post is aimed at the other men: who are feeling deeply uncomfortable today, and aren’t sure what men can do to help. As it turns out: we can do EVERYTHING.

The #RGKarHospital rape and murder is bone chilling & equally painful. It will make everyone angry.
But in the past 24 hours have come across 7 insensitive pieces of misinformation that has captured the thought process.
For eg. pelvic bone of the Fighter was broken- in reality that’s not true. Does it make the crime any less gruesome? Answer is no.
Yesterday someone floated another name, public sentiment immediately got triggered… but when I spoke with that man at the hospital yesterday evening, I found a traumatised young doctor who was suicidal. It’s easy to drop a name but plz understand he too is a human being, child to parents and has a dignity. Rape of the doctor is not the time for someone to settle personal and political scores.
Another theory: Semen of more than one individual found. Point is- if you have seen it, plz go depose before CBI and give testimony.
Another theory: Doctor knew about some crime, thus eliminated through rape. Trust me I have seen such theories during the SSR case and see for yourself where that case is standing today with CBI
Till yesterday morning the protest looked “student protest” but in the evening people from two colleges/universities went there and floated the theory that people who committed the crime belonged to the student organisation of a political party. That’s where it took a new turn.
It’s a humble request, let’s ALL ERUPT IN ANGER AGAINST RAPE. Plz don’t look for political opportunity here. We have lost a human being, a doctor but a family has lost its daughter. Everytime an incident like this happens, politics appropriates the social discourse and then like always we do disservice to the women, to us and to the cause.
Question the authority, the principal, the system, question if funds meant for cctv were properly used by the Hospital authority, question if allocated funds for infrastructure development were properly utilised. Question the govt if it doesn’t plead for death sentence or for any other reason. But without wearing the political hat. Plz don’t prejudice the investigation. Investigation is not about the “what ifs” you float, it’s not the time for you to become Sherlock Holmes.
If investigation is that simple then Arushi murder case would have had a convincing closure. Should I question the ability of the CBI then, probably not. It’s not a crystal ball before which you stand and do some mantra to see the moment of the crime.
Accused Sanjoy Roy was arrested because of the cctv ftg from the corridor. Yes it must be probed if anyone else is involved, anyone abetting the crime should also be be punished but to be certain that Sanjoy has been assisted by someone who enjoys political backing, that’s prejudice without proof.
Someone said Police have tampered the cctv to shield others - destroyed autopsy report, called it suicide. I say Plz produce proof.
Someone demanded CCtv should be made public, pm report should be made public; interrogation details & progress of investigation should be made public- So tomorrow we won’t need a Court for adjudication of a case?
We all want stringent punishment for the accused but can we snatch him from Police and hang him bypassing the Court? And trust me tomorrow if he gets encountered then a section would say that he has been eliminated to hide the real culprits. How can a crime and investigation of it be at par with Big Boss series.
Stop this chain of misinformation. Randomly posting something on social media may give u likes but they will not become the truth. Let us all unite against this social malice called Rape. Let us unite against all forms of violations, let us unite to demand capital punishment for the convicted rapists, let us unite for fast track trial of such cases, let us unite for a law that will never allow bail or remission to convicted rapists, let us weed out rapists once and for all.
I am not sorry for speaking out. I can’t be popular by being populist. I want Justice For the Fighter!
The year is 1848, Savitribai Phule and Jyotibai Phule just started the first ever school for girls
Rocks and mud was thrown at them on the way to school as people termed them “woke”, “western influenced”, and “against Indian tradition”
Look, I’m no detective - but if I was trying to find a missing middle-aged rich lady who was tired of her shitty husband, I’d at least *ask* Pete Davidson.
