I compiled a list of 5 organizations in Texas who are assisting people who need abortions. If you're looking for a place to donate to that will have a practical, immediate impact, please check it out.

I'm so excited about tomorrow's @KQEDForum. In the early 2000s, people would ask if you were a Bay Guardian or an SF Weekly reader, as if it were a whole personality trait. I wrote for SF Weekly for 7yrs. Its demise was slow motion and painful to watch.

@ProjectLincoln This is in Tarrant, Alabama. Mayor’s office direct phone 205 849-2803 has been disconnected, city phone is 205 849-2800, mayors office box is full. Select any other office and ask to leave message for Mayor. Tommy Bryant should be expelled from the council.
I have a few words.
First, I’m glad Scott got better.
Second, one reason he got COVID and was hospitalized is because no one “shoved the vaccine down his throat.”
Third, those of us who are vaccinated will pay the increased costs to the healthcare system for the unvaccinated.
Americans pay two-and-a-half times more for prescription drugs than in other leading countries. We have to change that. My Build Back Better Agenda will lower prescription drug costs for Americans by letting Medicare negotiate drug prices.
That's a big deal.
WH Press Sec. Jen Psaki responds to Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) saying he won’t impose mask mandate for children bc kids "need to breathe":
“If I were a parent in Florida, that would be greatly concerning to me.”
Every day, Americans drive over roads and bridges that are in need of repair. People commute on transit systems that are outdated. Americans have water coming out of their tap that isn't clean and use internet that isn’t high speed.
Our Build Back Better Agenda will change this.
Time to return to indoor mask policies in states that are surging. It happened sooner than I expected, but when hospitalization trends look like this, something has to change.
