@realDonaldTrump
President Trump,
I’m begging for your help as a husband and father. My wife, who is not a criminal, has been held in an ICE detention center in Michigan for over a month after we showed up in good faith to an immigration appointment, even though her I-130 was already approved.
From the moment she arrived in the United States, she has worked hard and followed the rules. All she wants is the chance to become an American so she can work even harder, contribute more, and give her children the life she never had.
The man who helped file her immigration paperwork made serious mistakes. Because of that, she is being punished—moved through three different facilities, treated inhumanely—even though a judge granted her voluntary departure. ICE still has not honored that decision so she can return to the Dominican Republic.
We just want her sent home so we can continue her process properly from the Dominican Republic. She has two daughters who need their mother, and we have a newborn son who cries for the warmth and comfort only she can give.
Mr. President, I reach out to you with all the love of a husband and father, asking for your help so my wife can be released to spend a little time with her family before she must return to the Dominican Republic. That would be the greatest Christmas gift I could ever receive. Thank you, President Trump. God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.
@TheFramebyFrame It’s pretty clear what’s happening, especially since it’s right there for everyone to see. If someone hasn’t seen it explained before, that’s totally understandable — but overall, this makes for a really good example.
