@WedgeLIVE Isn't Cedar Inn the restaurant that is now out of business because the city took away a few parking spots and, as the owner said “nobody is going to walk three-fourths of a block to get a beer." What are they doing moving into a larger building when they have no customers now?

@WedgeLIVE I mean, I know that as a rational driver, if I'm trying to go to a store and can't turn left to it, I give up and drive home.

@NortonMpls I understand they're frustrated, and yes uptown isn't what it was with competition from other neighborhoods over the past decade, but blaming parking doesn't seem genuine. They literally have street parking across the street, not to mention on every side street in this area.

@PhilmerPhiI @WedgeLIVE Wow, close for business. I don't know about you, but when I want some bubble tea, I look for a place 20 miles away and drive to it and if I can't find parking immediately in front, I head home.

@PeterFischerMN Is this something we can/should voice our support for with the city council? My wife is a business owner on the proposed path of the purple line and whole heartedly supports the purple line project. Just wondering if we need to write a letter in support.

@leiftree To be fair, those racks were given to the city by Nice Ride. They were created for the Nice Ride bikes and scooters to be locked to them with the attached cable lock to help avoid the bike and scooter shares blocking sidewalks.

@LauraGMitchell Richfield has to be number 1. They sort of have it easy because it's a tight grid that's boxed in by highways on all four sides.

I also gotta give credit to St Louis Park also. I think they are really trying and are making good strides.

Had to bike home in the rain this evening which I hate. But at least the kids got to stay nice and dry...

@JustinBrady @LauraGMitchell @the_transit_guy There are no cars driving in those photos. My conclusion is that Bryant Ave isn't being used by cars, so we should get rid of it. I hate subsidizing an unused road for cars.

Bike day at daycare means rolling up with a bike, a scooter, and two kids. Couldn't fit the bike in with both kids in there too, so strapped it to the side with the Bakkie Bag.

@mikein_usa @LauraGMitchell There's also an equity issue with doing a tax break vs a point of sale rebate since the tax break would only apply to people who owe taxes and would require you to be able to front the money upfront.
