@__scottsaunders Yep, drop him completely; he needs a rest anyway,but he can't get away with the comments. You can't have the quad disciplin implode. Tielemans has looks pretty good playing a bit higher. I'd also start at least one of Lacey or Amass, it wasn't fair to chuck them on at 0-4 v Como.

@__scottsaunders He needs to get a reasonable foundation & then not rip it up tactically(ETH) or blow it up emotionally(Amorim). The PL is a different beast compared to even 5 years ago & almost every match is very competitive. Nagelsmann would need to come in with his eyes open to the challenge.

@fplshere9992 @__scottsaunders If the Glazers has taken over Arsenal in 2005 and treated them exactly as they have Utd, there's a chance that Arsenal would've gone bust or not be a PL team. Utd have endured them because they were and still are an incredible commercial juggernaut.

@fplshere9992 @__scottsaunders Sure, but Utd now pay around £50M (£35M up until '26) a year on debt,that's funds for an additional £100M (£70M previously) elite player that could be added every other season that goes up in smoke. The Glazers have taken out £1.2B out of Utd when most other clubs put money in.

@fplshere9992 @__scottsaunders Certainly, I'm absolutely not trying to lessen Arteta's achievements. What I'm saying is that the structure above him were all pulling in the same direction for a club that wasn't laden sky high expectations (at the time) or crippling debt & cancerous owners.

@fplshere9992 @__scottsaunders Yes,but he wasn't managing the impossible puzzle that's Utd & has a had reasonably competent structure above him for the most part. Arsenal ripped up player contracts & replaced them,I just don't think Utd have the finances to do that. OGS could've been our MA,if backed properly.
