Hey guys, this is my brand new GameDev account (and company), if you could give a follow and keep updated that'd be awesome since i'm making a game! Here's the first model I can show you all
Hello there, we are Exodus Games, a new British born game development studio (of 1), and while we don't have any gameplay, take this model I made, as that's all I can show for now :)
@BasedJoeMama_ Respectfully Sonic Frontiers was scoped to meet the suits' lofty expectations because of what it would've meant for the franchise if it failed, more budget in that case absolutely would've helped the game hugely considering the polish and refinement the game could've had
Game Design grad take -
"Confident game design" doesn't increase the animation budget, the optimisation budget to allow higher quality visuals, the budget to invest in the 3d modelling team having the time and care to give you your new beautiful models.
Imma be honest I don't think Sonic needs this much financial investment put into its videogames, the problem was never budget in my opinion, but stronger and more confident game design and vision
The game designers designed a product with the expectations of the suits in mind, it's not the game design's fault that the suits then didn't give enough budget and resources to realise that vision.
Hello everyone! We've been quiet around here, but we've finally got some visuals to show you! This is by no means the finished level design of the first level, but we wanted to show you something so here you go! #IndieGames#Unity#GameDevelopment#IndieGameDev
Watching everyone ripping the devs to pieces over the xbox layoffs and not the execs/other suits is really disheartening, every developer wants to make the most fun game they can, it's the suits who often push agendas and decisions you don't like, I can tell you that 9/10 times.
@LlennoxYt Honestly it takes some of the rule of cool out of the game, and I get it some people get bored of "le spectacle" 100 times over but they're catering to all types of players so some stuff is just there to be cool when you only have seen it twice or so
@LlennoxYt@Salty_Sealz While that's fair if SEGA wanted to make a worldwide store I'd expect from a major company like them multiple warehouses in continents and countries across the globe to handle different regions, otherwise people in certain regions are paying markups just because of where theylive
@LlennoxYt So you gotta add funds to your playstation account separately like on your PC or something I think? And then hook your PS3 up to the internet via ethernet cable with an online-able account, and then buy the games on the ps3 with those funds iirc
@LlennoxYt Full larps to the brim with youtubers, fun facts I will never remember, and no gameplay in sight so i'll larp 'till the end of time, these games with reviews I will follow into every IGN motto, where haters become friends together we mock the brand
