suggesting the well-documented and photographed destruction of trans healthcare and research by the nazis "might've been a fever dream" is holocaust denial, and we shouldn't be afraid to say it loudly and repeatedly for fear of a billionaire's tortious reprisal
Watching the rich out-of-touch panel on the Project realise in real time that not everyone is rich is so bizarre
Especially the part where Pingers has to explain that being in a house is safer than sleeping on the street
How do they host the news with no connection to reality?
I love this not only because it is humbling to receive such generous words and actions of support -truly it is- but because look at what we are building everyday! It is unstoppable. Practising solidarity openly is contagious. Students will see this and find more courage. Artists will see this and know there are people who will walk the talk. Institutions will see this and be faced with the intellectual dishonesty of accusations hurled at us. Each such moment is galvanising for us all.
Thank you to all involved 🙏
In case any reporters are after a confirmed quote of my response to the audience members walking out and having a go at me at the Adelaide Writers Festival this afternoon, my exact words were “free fucking Palestine from the river to the sea”.
And to be clear, I’d say it again.
i literally can’t post a single thing about a Palestine without some hideous zionist hag crawling into my mentions to openly fantasise about queer people - or me specifically- being graphically murdered and it is a very sick twisted and insidious form of homophobia
Adelaide Writers Week starts today, as part of Adelaide Festival. Amanda Vanstone is on the board of the festival, and is programmed in the writers week. She is also a director of Lockheed Martin Australia. Why are we so comfortable with these murder merchants directing our art?
Aesop's Queer Library is a beautiful program. They buy hundreds of books by queer authors and give them away to community for free. Unfortunately, Aesop was recently bought by L'Oreal, which is a gross company complicit in apartheid Israel's atrocities, and is on the BDS list.
@velocircasstor @PatrickLenton Just came here to second this! Larry is the best, and it's really nice coz it's a small room just 1-1 so less sensory overload. Plus supporting a small business / sole trader who has gone off on their own journey (also they're AMAZING with beards and just really experienced)
Tell me you could see your baby killed in your arms by a sniper and not become completely broken. I would become a monster. I would literally transform. I would become something else. I would consume the world.
Isn't it antisemtic - and more broadly racist - for The Australian to call a brown, Jewish person "the face of hatred" on the front page of today's paper?
@omarsakrpoet I got banned from grindr for having a Palestinian flag lol (it got reinstated over a month later claiming an 'error'). People didn't not date me coz I was a Jew, it was coz I wasn't on grindr anymore 🤣
This Joshua Moshe? The one in the chat where he’s involved in trying to dox an Arab woman so she loses her job, yeah? Calling for another artist to lose work? A writer to lose opportunities? So this is what makes front page news, not the genocide or their harassment campaigns
Some people seem to be confused about this so I'll clarify: Palestinians are absolutely asking people with "israeli" citizenship to renounce it, burn their passports, and cut off contact with anyone they know who lives in and contributes to the hellhole that is the zionist entity
